How did you mount your kick pods?
I've already got em made, but I am not sure what would be a good secure way to mount them to the car.
TIA and pics soon.

you can use those backstrap things, if they're already sitting on the floor velcro can probably hold them, but if it's sort of like a side mount either the backstraps or screw it in before you mount the speakers

Thanks tdxflex, I'm going to try a little silicone or velcro along the ege to keep it lined up and then screw it in to the plastic.

depending on how heavy it is, you might want to think about using a bolt/nut with big washers. not sure how well the plastic will hold the screw in plate.

Jakezor - nice setup - especially how the rear subs are mounted. Can you tell what you use to make the boxes/enclosure for the subs? mix of fiberglass and wood? got pics of the install?
Thanks! can't wait for the completed pics! |

Thanks for the compliments guys.
tdxflex, I'll take that into consideration, I also don't want to screw into something important. G-force, I unfortunately did not make them myself. I cut the trunk liner/trim pieces so they could build farther out. They fiber glassed the back, used a 1x2 (or maybe 1x3) to make the middle straight (front to back @ the seam). They just put in a trim ring for the sub and fiber glassed it together. Wood for the ring and for a few support pieces the rest is fiberglass. |
