Default Change fog light and IC water spray button color?

I searched this, but couldn't come up with much of anything...

How do I change the color of my fog light and IC spray buttons? I've changed my HVAC, keyring, boost gauge and everything else to red and I want those buttons to match.

I don't have much experience with lighting, so a step by step from how to access the bulbs to how to change the color would really help if you've done it.

Can I just use condoms like I did the other stuff I've changed (if so, what size)?
Or do I actually have to replace the bulb?

Well im not sure which switch it is you are talking about, i dont have the same car as you, but from previous experiance, some have little snaps that you pop open to get inside, or they are a sealed switch, which means youre screwed and you wont be able to open it. Take a pictue and post up, then we can tell you exactly

good luck taking the bulbs out
they are real pos if you fiddle with them. the bulbs are clear which shine through the translucent green covering on the button window just so you know. be carful when you turn the bulb holder and try not to mar the plastic like i did. if you need to replace the bulbs for any reason go to radio shack, and look in their parts drawer, i forgot the model of bulb but it will be the one that looks almost identicle but beefier. gl with the swap.

So did you just get red bulbs or how did you get it to be the color that you wanted through the green covering on the button?? I guess I'm confused. Thanks.

If it has that green translucent stuff, If you want white, just scratch it off then the letters are white, but if you want red, blue or whatever, get colred bulb to the color you want and scratch the stuff off anyways. Otherwise it will be green/tan

sorry, let me explain myself a little better, while working on adding another button to my car (sti intercooler spray button) i managed to pop the bulbs which were in my fog light button and my cruise control button. so i had to take them apart and find new bulbs. i used white bulbs from radio shack and while they were a little more beefy, they work. whew. but while i had the buttons apart the only way that they illumiate green is because of that plastic window which is located on the outside of the button. it has a green tint on it. i left my colors green but if you wanted to change that color, i would have to assume that you would have to peel off the plastic window thats on the outside of the buttons face. peel that off and scratch or remove some how the green color. hope that helps

Yep.

I scratched the green off but put a coat of red model paint in it's place. Use acrylic if at all possible.
