Default Transmission swaps

Ok, some background. I have a 2.5 with an auto combo out of an 04 outback. My mother is looking at an 06 ob with the 3.0 and an auto that needs a transmission. Gear ratios not withstanding, does anyone know if the dimensions and bolt patterns the same between the two engines? I will do more research myself, and find answers for the community, if not.

Quick update. From what a "local" dealership and local scrap yard have told me, 06 3.0 tranny's are unique. I'll dig deeper, but so far, the bell housing used a special bolt pattern that got service bulletined from 11 bolts down to 8 in the reman process. Not only that, but it seems the entire case is different between the 6 and 4 cylinders, so that's something to keep in mind.
