So if I understand your post, your son works at a Mercedes Benz dealership as a salesman. You took your son to look at Subarus. You were unable to reach an agreement on the price of a car. Can your son get you a discount on a Mercedes?

You have it all wrong. He took his son, who is a salesperson at a Mercedes Benz dealership, to a Subaru dealership named Bill Kolb. The salesperson that greeted him was an elderly gentleman that appeared to be confused about what defines a used and new car. He also seemed confused about how pricing works in the auto industry.

He was angry because of his lack of competence and decided to share this with those who reside in the Tri-State area along with some short, soft, high-pitched sounds like those of a baby bird.

He also would like us to know that his cousin is a used car salesman who receives a $2,000 subsidy for his rent whenever he sells a vehicle.

Yea, I don't like that place either. They sold the car we were interested in and made us drive all the way up there. They had our name and knew we were coming. I understand they have to sell cars, but why not tell us, "I can't guarantee the car won't sell." If we had to put down a deposit, we could've done it. Ended up buying from Wayne Subaru, nicer people.

Wow, this has turned from a venting thread to a grammar thread, Either you are a idiot or have a great sense of humor. I did not know Nasioc was filled with English teachers!

An educated buyer would NEVER have gone to Kolb in the 1st place.

Search.

Post Bill Kolb jr. aka the tool shop

I went to buy my car there at Bill Kolb jr and they did not want to move at all on set price very arrogant salesmen real tools, a friend told me about a dealer in PA (East Stroudsburg on rt 611) very nice people they went down on price and I got more options for alot less plus free rubber all weather mats, I got a new wrx prem package. I have recommended this dealer to others with no problems, they are very nice and wont rush you into buying. Just go with cash and good credit. Know what you want and how much you want to pay for it , they will bend over backwards for you.

Default Bill Kolb

I have had two bad test drives with that dealership. A year ago I went to test drive an 04 Sti with around 30k on it took it for a ride and the hood would not lock. Every time I hit 60mph the hood unlocked and popped up. Three times this happened during the test drive and each time had to pull over get out and lock the hood again. When I told them I wasn’t interested in the car at the end of the test drive the mangers that sit up on that desk area yelled out saying fine your loss it’s sold already.

Now last month I went to test drive a satin white 07 they have (has some very bad cosmetic issues). When I took that car for a test drive whenever you hit boost you would hear the loudest sound of a leak in the area of the turbo and the car would die mid-boost. As an Sti driver that was not normal. At the end of the test drive when I told the salesperson that something is wrong with the car and I’m not interested in spending 28k on a car that has issues he was in shock.

Haha, glad I didn't go look into it. I used to work there, they're all a bunch of arrogant pricks in the sales dept, especially the owner and his wife.

Default What a difference in treatment! I bought my 05 Legacy GT Wagonfrom BKJ!

Wow what a difference in treatment. I bought my 05 LGT Wagon back in Sep 08 and bassically got them to give me what I wanted, but I had a POS for trade in and pretty much hoodwinked them in a ways cause my car was overrun abit. I walked in there dealt with Ross Kelter drove the car put down almost no money and had the car in possesion within 2 days. I already knew the car in question they were selling had sat there for almost seven months with no real takers. I ha5 also found another LGT Wagon local to my area that was priced like 2k more than what I knew was reasonable. Bottom line is they're trying to hit home run sales especially with the Sti Imprezas.

Might want to check Colonial Subaru of Danbury CT. They are great people to deal with. If you go let me know and I will let the manager know that you are going.
