Bone Stock '08 WRX with Ecutek Reflash Only !
This car really came alive with just a mild reflash - this is how they should have released the car from the factory - so much more fun.

Looks nice Al. Whats the target boost? And did you add some fueling down low, where the stock ECU was running stoch up till like 4k?

Sorry to ask this, but I was wondering if you reflash the ECU on stock, does it ruin the engine or wear off the engine faster?

Looks a lot like what Perrin posted as well. Its easy to poke holes at factory tuned cars, but you have to keep in mind that the OEM must sell vehicles which meet emissions and fuel economy standards. At least its easy enough to reprogram the Subies.

This is clearly an attempt at emmissions compliance which is very hard on the engine's piston rings Al on George's station |

wow that tune really woke up that car!
AL, you seriously need to make an update vid on the 08 sti, I know you put the perrin FMIC kit on there as well as a few other goodies, and I'm curious to see what difference it made over the APS TMIC unit. please inform! |
