Question How can i make Remote wire longer?

Hello guys!
I have an important question...
My remote wire is not long enough, can i use this to make it longer? (I have the 18 GA Blue)
It won't burn that wire or something?

Id suggest matching gage wire but it really shouldnt matter too much. Any wire should work.

the most professional way would be to remove the wire that is too short, and run a solid length of wire to the end device. The next most professional way would be to solder and heat shrink an additional wire to extend the wire that is too short. The additional wire should be of equal quality or better than the existing wire. Quality meaning same or better number of strands in the wire, the same or better gauge of wire, the same or better conductive material, etc...

If you dont feel comfortable soldering, you can use a butt connector, but it could fail over time or become a weak spot in your system and could make it difficult to troubleshoot.
