I don't know about others but powder is very difficult to mask off. Always seems to creep under the tape a bit so I use cardboard for larger sections and Frog painter's tape for the rest. I have seen good results with that.

Just bought this car two weeks ago, this is my first post on this site. Spent a hundred bucks on duplicolor paint and the day today to paint my lug nuts, wheels and calipers. Let me know what you think.

3 cans flat black wheel paint, 2 cans black sandable primer, 1 can blue anodized like metallic paint, 1 can clear coat for lugs, and red caliper paint kit.

Ya did a good job, but too dark. Try Bronze next time or graphite, they look good with silver.

i disagree with the above statement, rex wheels look really good dark. i like your color scheme more than the ones suggested, but thats just my take. and ive owned rex wheels in graphite, black metallic and white

I will ask my guy that did them. I just prepped the wheels. He had a hard time finding the right color and the mustard is a common issue when shooting gold. It's a new company that put this color in the 98th percentile for Subaru gold.
