![]() I just went out and took a look during my lunch break; it looks like I may be able to re-position the hose so it doesn't rub on that coolant line. I am not sure if I can get it to stop rubbing on the IC though. There just doesn't seem to be enough room. I sent PW a quick email to get their opinion on the matter. I will post back here once they respond.

![]() Dear god that bracket is the worst. It extendinds so far up imma find a different place to mount it and it gets in the way of so many things. I was thinking from the under and behind the IC instead of close to the hose.

![]() I think I may actually try to bend mine a little bit to try and get rid of that kink in the turbo hose. I did manage to wiggle the turbo hose slightly so now it is just barely contacting that rubber coolant line to the turbo. It still rubs agains the IC though. I think bending the bracket slightly may sort things out.

I may end up ordering an extra turbo outlet hose while they are in stock just in case my current one ends up with damage due to rubbing on the IC. I think I may just be a little too paranoid about it though ![]() |

![]() Ill try to snap some pics of it on the car this afternoon. I actually ran into my first issue. I ended up re-routing the BPV hose again and it somehow got kinked. When I started driving my car this morning the car had what sounded like severe compressor surge (I think that is the correct term). It freaked me out at first but once I re-adjusted the hose things were back to normal. Make sure your BPV hose has enough slack otherwise you may run into the same thing!

![]() well i mocked up the bracket and its bent really weird but sits nice but we need to make the top piece a little longer.
me and my friend just started cutting up metal and mig (i think thats how you spell it) together and drilled some holes but then he ended up making to top bracket to mount to the intercooler to short so its squeezing the turbo hose but still runs fine and holds boost :] more work on sunday to fix the bracket or make a new one. its been a long night.... |

EDIT: Jammon, I tried taking pictures of the bracket but my pics looked pretty much the same as Big Rob's so I don't think I need to post them (it sounds like you have already made a suitable bracket anyways). I finished re-routing my BPV hose a few hours ago. So far, things seem good. I purchased about 5 feet of 1/4in ID fuel line hose from Autozone along with some vacuum tubing connectors (I had to purchase a set of them with a bunch of different sizes, but ended up using the 1/4in connector). I purchased so much hose in the event I decide to replace the entire hose instead of just extending the original. I ended up only using about 5 inches of the new hose. One thing I noticed is that the inner diameter of the hose Subaru uses is just a little smaller than 1/4in. As a result, I had to use a corbin clamp on the BPV nipple connection, otherwise it would have definitely blown off. I think the new hose location makes things look a lot cleaner. Hopefully it will solve my BPV issues. Here are some updated pics, if anyone is interested: New BPV hose location: ![]() Front Shot: ![]() Last edited by CO11WRX; 07-12-2013 at 04:54 PM. |

![]() Yeah the hoses they use are probably smaller than 1/4. I hate the whole engine bay. Vac.lines everywhere and to reroute is a pain the the ass.
If you tighten it enoigh it wont come off no matter how much pressure . Guess where the bracket is. Its not on the side of the turbo its actually on the flange. Obviously on the edge of it. I dont care if it bends but i need to make it longer and its supporting it. And doesnt affect anything just need to fab more stuff up. Its so fun if you have everything to use (done at an autobody shop) so i had everything i could use which is awesome and thanks to my friend. I wonder what will happen when i get a biggee turbo w stock location. I was thinking that longer hose that PW has now. But thats doen the road but does look interesting. |

![]() Figured I would post an update in this thread: Process West responded to my post about the kink in my turbo hose. Per PW, some of the hoses shipped with this kit are too long. As a result, the hose may need to be cut if yours is kinked.
Here is a link to the other thread for more info (thank's to Kev from PW for the info) http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...1&postcount=25 |

![]() Can someone take a look at this pic and let me know what you think? I was checking out my PW install and noticed what appears to be a crack on my intake manifold? The crack seems to originate right where the driver's side Intercooler bracket connects to the plastic manifold. This has me a little worried as it definitely looks like a crack of some sort. It must be fairly recent as I am pretty sure I would have noticed this when I was doing the install. I assume this is something that needs to be replaced/fixed immediately?
EDIT: I went ahead and created a separate thread about this issue since it doesn't really have anything to do with the PW Install. ![]() Last edited by CO11WRX; 07-22-2013 at 12:56 AM. |

![]() It is a little crooked to the synapse, but nothing serious. With the air intake ( short ram or cold air intake ) sounds pretty good! But it is very quiet.. now i have the panel filter cossworth and the sound is very similar. It compares to forge.

![]() Do you have it unthreaded all the way? From what I remember its a really long bolt, takes a bit to get out.

![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us I cleaned the threads and was able to install the bracket and torque to spec. Still concerning but what can I do? Also was thinking thought that there was quite a bit of corrosion on the bolt for a 2 year old car residing in SoCal. Everything else went together as expected. ![]() Lastly, since everyone is asking for installation instructions... ![]() Yeah I think mine also had some corrosion and my car only had like 2K miles on it. I thought it was some sort of anti-seize. I was just grateful it didn't snap when breaking it loose. You might want to look into some t-bolts for the hoses.

![]() Thanks for the tip. Were you able to get t-bolt clamps on all connections? The throttle body connection and turbo outlet look like a tight fit.
