Did you connect the power for the antenna amplifier? Not doing so is the most common cause of this complaint on the 04's. Look in the Car Stereo forum for threads on this topic.

Besides connecting the power for the Antenna Amplifier, also make sure the fuse is good and you may need to confirm the Antenna coaxial cable is connected to the amplifier. The coax is not shown on the wiring diagrams but the connector is above the amplifier over the headliner (antenna amp. located on left-rear pillar, to left of rear glass).

Quick note:

The blue wire marked "Power Antenna" on most radio harness adapters is probably the culprit in this problem.

One might think, as I did, that lead was for a power operated mast antenna. Nope, powers the amp!

Did you tint your car? If you used a metalic tint that will hinder reception due to the antenna being printed on the glass.

I have no tint on my car but I probably take my CD player out and see if I get everything correct.

tinting the windows will not, or SHOULD not cause a problem with radio reception, it would be one thing if the antenna was on the INSIDE of the tint, but it's not...

If the tint is metallic, it can change the impedance of the antenna and affect reception.
