Default Mod-friendly Phoenix dealers?

Are there any mod-friendly Phoenix dealers? I bought my '02 WRX from Pitre. I haven't had to go back for service in the 10 months that I've owned my car but I had a good sales experience and the parts guys always seemed cool when I go in to buy oil filters and such. Being the first car that I've owned with a warranty, I've avoided any modifications so far. But since it seems quite reliable, I'm thinking about some mild enhancements like an uppipe, downpipe, & computer flash in the near future. Just wondering what others experiences have been regarding dealer's attitudes towards modified cars. I have no problem paying for my own turbo if I blow it running higher boost but I want to avoid dealers that play the "voided warrenty" card without even examining the car.

Thanks for any feedback.

Default Mods VS. Dealers

I do not know of any dealer in Arizona that is mod friendly. I have not yet had the pleasure of fighting with the dealer regarding mods. However I would contact Mike in service at Pitre and be straight with him and see how he responds. Let him know you are an AzScooby member. That may help. We have not really discussed mods with Pitre to date.

Second the vote for contacting Pitre and being honest. They seem very willing to work with the AZScooby members

I bought my car from Bell 21 Subaru about 13 months ago. I bought the 100,000 mile extended warranty and was going to return it but the finance person said they were mod friendly and not to worry. Unfortunately that guy is no longer with them.

The good news though is I brought my car in for warranty work (air conditioner/blower) with my vishnu stage 0 kit installed and they didn't say anything. Maybe its because they didn't see it or because they knew it didn't cause the failure, but I was happy.

I purchased mine from 21 Bell as well about 14 months ago, they did seem pretty cool. There was a guy in finance by the name of Tony and he was the one that gave me a list of sites that were selling aftermarket parts. However, when I requested thier service department install my TT so as to not void the warantee they had no clue what it was

Tony was the finance person I talked to as well. I wonder what happened to him.
