I saw that awhile ago. Very cool. Almost as cool as the R-34 with 350Z motor...

That's my friends car. It sucks because his plans feel apart. He sold that engine, bought another one, and then his car got repoed!

So that project will never happen

that my friends is a really stupid idea. why replace a newer technology, larger displacement, LIGHTER engine with one inferior in every meaningful way?

oh that's right, the hype of megabuck Skylines using that motor with 2000 mile lifespans and >800HP. Gran Turismo fame notwithstanding.

sorry auxiliary, but what if you say is true your friend is stupid in so many ways...

He should've paid for the car first.

How many VQ's have you seen that you can take a simple single bolt on kit with injectors and ecu and go from 350whp to 700+whp in a days work?

I sure havnt seen any.

The VQ is fine for a maxima.... It's basic architecture has been around for over 10 years. It's all aluminum, open deck, etc... Not the best for turbo or SC applications. The RB26DETT is perfect for a sports car like the 350Z

He actually sold the engine to a guy to put into a mid 90's maxima. The idea was secret for many months around here (Atlanta) and between my group of friends. It was a big shock to finally see the engine, then have it sent off to get built by some company that builds F1 motors, and then get it back and try to put it into the car.

It's funny--He wanted to do it, becuase he wanted to be the first, which he was. The first guy with an RB sitting inside of a 350 engine bay. The idea was to hook it up to an RB32 transmission and rear axle, if I remember correctly. It was a kind of build it as you go process.

Well the guy that owned the car came into a fall out with the guy that owned the shop. So the car actually sat there for a while why they worked things out. 350 guy got a motorcycle, lost his job, and then kind of *forgot* about the car.

It's really sad that he didn't get to finish it, because it was going to be amazing. Crazy thing is, he had already talked to many magazine/manufactures that were going to give him lots of rewards for having it done. Magazine covers, sponsers, everything. Just couldn't get it together.

*Not to all-a lot of that information I am pulling out of my unused brain area. Remember, these pictures first came up almost a year ago it seems*

You need sarcasm tags.

Vspec II Nur is a the last edition of the R34 Skyline GTR to be released. It's Nur for Nurburgring spec. The car's suspension and engine was fine-tuned at the track.
