Oh yes night and day. Although I had to raise the car about 1/4” all around yesterday.

I also swapped out that Tomei exhaust for the ETS cat back with resonator. Something about the single exit just doesn’t do it lol.

Honestly, it might just be the tomei. I had the Carven single exit on mine and preferred the look and sound over the Tomei and ETS Extreme and the Quiet one.

What exactly happened with the BBS? Curiuos because I had something similar happen with one of the sets of HRE's I've ordered. 3 piece and they built the centers with 5x100 when should have been 5x114.3. Was thier mistake as the order was put in correctly. Waited almost 6 months for the wheels to be made only to have to send them back so they could remake the centers. Only cost to me was my time and they sent me a bunch of free garb for the mistake.

I received them built wrong size offset. Too much negative offset by 12mm lol.

I’ve never heard a Carven in person.

Yes me too. Sooo much better. I did however rebuild my GMR today. Had the centers powder coated BMW silver and went with polish lips.

Just wondering if I should roll with my PS4 in 285/35 or my Conti 295/30?

I like the meaty look but makes the car tad taller, but does ride like a dream.

Drives > Looks. Unless it's specifically a show car there should never be a debate here.

Hello NASIOC Community,

I've just joined the forum after months of browsing through the wealth of knowledge shared here, especially around the Subaru WRX STI. The passion and expertise in this community are truly remarkable, and it's inspired me to finally make my first post. I'm in the process of planning some performance upgrades for my 2018 WRX STI and could really use your collective wisdom.

From what I've gathered, there seems to be a consensus that starting with intake, exhaust, and a proper tune can significantly enhance the STI's performance. However, I'm also aware of the importance of not compromising the car's reliability and warranty, if possible. With that in mind, I have a few specific questions:

Intake Systems: I've seen mixed opinions on the real-world benefits of aftermarket intakes for the STI. Considering my goal is to improve performance without drastic changes, would you recommend an intake upgrade? If so, which brands or models have you found to be most effective?

Exhaust Options: I'm leaning towards a cat-back exhaust system to avoid issues with emissions and to keep the modifications relatively simple. Could anyone share their experiences with different exhaust systems that offer a good balance between performance gains, sound, and not triggering any warranty concerns?

Tuning for Reliability: The idea of getting a professional tune to ensure all modifications work harmoniously together makes a lot of sense. Can anyone recommend a reputable tuner who specializes in Subarus, ideally someone who prioritizes long-term reliability alongside performance improvements?

Suspension Upgrades: While my primary focus is on the engine performance, I'm also considering some mild suspension upgrades to improve handling. Any suggestions on where to start that would complement the power upgrades without making the ride too harsh for daily driving?

I'm eager to learn from your experiences and to make informed decisions on upgrading my STI. I appreciate any advice, warnings about potential pitfalls, or recommendations on how to proceed. Thank you all in advance for your help and for welcoming me into this community.

Looking forward to your responses!

Picked up a set of 2016 oem STI BBS wheels and had them powder coated gloss black. Wrapped in Pirelli 245/40’s. And put the stock suspension back in with STI pink lowering springs!

Default Nice!

I'm loving this car! I don't think I'll ever go for quite as much power, but I like it! Makes me want to build my '08 even more than I already wanted to!

Where do you have it installed at, like pre or post mid pipe?

Mine is about 1ft pre cat.

Difference it makes open/closed is roughly 15kw on a hub dyno

About that yeh mine was tuned on a hub dyno so around 10-15hp atw at a guess.

Reduced back pressure in the exhaust by a fair chunk!
