Getting Ready to Wire up my Wide Band...I have decided to use a Single Cup mount on the Steering Column.. It will be separate, Visable, informative and Functional. That way my Tuner can see it as it will be right in field of view....while the intercooler is off.. I have to re-install my SPT Heatsheid.. and make sure the OEM Bracket is sitting correctly. Tune is supposed to be done on this coming Sunday..*3-21. Beyond EXCITED.. as the tune will bring some closure...I will be getting a 07 STi intake Manifold in the future..to finish my Refurbished look.. and to be able to use Top Feed Injectors.. Ohhhh I also bought a Steamer off of Amazon to Clean everything Top to bottom. Couple of other tricks that I have done..but I am not going to 'ReVeal' those until the time is right. Lets just say it falls along my Whole Theme of 'ATTENTION TO DETAIL'

Well ... going back to stock Injectors as the 850's I have would not sync, thinking that I have a stuck inj..as my tuner kept trying to lean it out and it was taking 25% fuel away regardless of what we did on the tune.. After talking to my tuner, we decided to just run the stock Injectors for now..until I switch out to Top-Feeds, New Manifold, TGV deletes and 07 Fuel Rails.. Went thru about 6 different tunes to try to get the new Injectors dialed in. NO GO. The injectors were DeatschWerks 850cc SideFeeds... Regardless of what the tuner did.. they would NOT SCALE CORRECTLY.. soooo Back to stock.. for now to get it running drivable. Guess what I am doing tomorrow... The priority obviously is to get it running with a good tune..soooo

Was able to take some AFTER pics of the K&N Heatshield*installed that I refurbished.. Engine compartment is starting to take shape the way I want it too

Still want to get a new Intake or refurbish the one I Have.. have the Grimmspeed Cherry Blossom Red or the Wrinkle Red VHT option.. I have both... we'll see

Well... the Good news is I am TUNED.. Car feels much better. ; Special Thanks to Brad Bahr for taking the time to complete the task. .. Car is very very smooth.

The Bad news is I am only tuned at Stock boost Levels.. Cyl 1 and 3 were blowing ignition spark above stock boost levels causing misfires. As l am also back on Stock injectors..Most like culprit for the misfires are probably the Coilpacks-Believed to be the Original units. soo we'll see. Also believe that one of the new Injectors was stuck open.. washing down the cylinder and potentially contributing to the misfires. I burned a 1/4 tank of gas in 20 miles. Now I am hearing the potential start of rod-knock.. today coming home *2.5 hour drive.. Either my Oil Pressure gauge has went Kaput.. or I completely lost oil pressure. NO CELS? I am going to check the oil to see if I can smell gas.. change it and send it off to get analyzed. then Recheck everything. There might be a RA Block in my Future or a IAG... SIGH.. Brad Bahr did a awesome job.. ..he sent me 5 revisions to the original map.. with the 850 injectors.. the carr was unhappy because it appears that one was Stuck open causing the tune to look super rich. but in essence the other 3 cyls were leaning out..Hopefully there is no damage, again maybe a RA or IAG Block. Want to keep the stock Block, A: to analyze it.. and B: Rebuild back to original spec to go along with the car for its lifetime... Sooo overall I am happy that a I have a good tune on the car.. Disappointed that all the other stuff went south.. Car LOOKS AWESOME tho..
I did add some content from the original FB post.. just to add clarity..
God... she is sexy...

more as I know it.. took a break from it today..

SOOOO SOO Relieved right now.. The STi appears to be OK. It was low on oil.. going to purchase new coilpacks..and new plugs anyways.. . Also, there was no bearing material in the oil. Going to send it off for analysis anyway... Thank GOD.. So it appears I escaped everything, Just stress. I believe what happened was one of the 850 injectors*sticking.. it washed down the cyl. and mixed with the oil. then actually burned like it was gas. causing the low oil condition...*My theory anyways..
There is no detectable Rod knock and now is on a fresh oil change.. Oil gauge is functioning properly.. as it should.. so Again it appears everything is OK.. PHEEEEEEW

Will Do.. Just ordered OEM Subaru Coils and one step colder new plugs. Oil Pressure is normal now and not knocking.. Oil going to be sent out to BlackStone. Then we will see where we are at.. once I get the new coilpacks and plugs in.. Raise the boost to see if the spark Blows out again.. So much has changed since the day.. I almost feel like I am completely relearning everything I knew.. esp with Fueling systems. Went on a quick 5 miles drive.. everything seems ok. The oil Analysis will tell the tale.

STi is BACK. Cracked plug on #1 causing the Misfire. SUPER HAPPY. Long day but sooooo worth it in the end. Oil changed. Oil Sample getting ready for Blackstone labs. Plugs were a pain in the Butt. #1 compression @135psi; didn't look like any silvery speckles ..and its soooo STRONG. Love the new Turbo.. Positive manifold pressure right off idle.. OMG. and pulls all the way to redline.. PULLS HARD.. Oil change. new OEM Coil packs. 1 Step colder plugs gapped at .028 completed today .. SHE'S BAAAAACK

Looks good! I really like the seats and JDM fogs. I hadn't noticed until now that you updated the STi badge on the trunk, it matches the other updated black badges nicely.

yeah.. so it seemed.. it is still misfiring but only on startup and its intermittent.. don't think its a ringland as it has 130-135 compression on that Cyl.. but thats also the Cyl that I question the injector.. Have another set of Inj here locally.. so I am going to change out # 1 and see how it does..It runs fine. and pulls strong with no misses.. so we'll see
