Bringing it all forward. Have some other goodies yet to go.. Its "ALMOST" done to my liking. .Still want to get a new intake Manifold and switch to Top-Feeds.. That will be it for the motor ..maybe.. I might just go ahead and get a new RA Shortblock and keep my Original Block just to have it.. *I am stockpiling all Stock parts to have them available in case I ever want to just bring the car completely back to Stock* Still have another round of Paint Correction/Ceramic Coating to go.. Interior is pretty much done.
Items left to install: - Left Front Fender Liner....STILL - Boom Boom Pow ... Subwoofer - Possible Rear Bearings - Polish and Shine ...Repeat - ReFinish OE Goldies Bill |

Well.. A decent Garage Therapy Day.. FINALLY got the Drivers Side Fender liner done... Remember when I said this build is about Attention to Detail.. Since I replaced the Fender Liner, The Drivers side STi Canard Bumper trim and a Fresh V-limited lip.. all With OEM Pieces except the Lip.. it is a Rep. but a decent one at least.. Came out REALLY well. I am happy with the end result.. I also refreshed the Brembo Logo and wet sanded and Polished the Caliper .. I will do the others when I Get to them. The caliper came out great also. Enjoy
Bill Beat Liner Clean Clean Clean No liner Old Canad Trim piece Clean Clean Clean Bumper where New Canard piece goes New OEM Liner Refreshed Caliper Finished Product.. Extremely Happy |

Wahoooooo... Just got my Oil Analysis back from Blackstone for the STi.. I think I am good to go... Thoughts???
"BILL: Thanks for the letter. We don't see a need for any additional oil tests, but if there's metal in the oil filter pleats, it'd be good to have that analyzed. Cylinder-area metals (aluminum, chrome, and iron) look fine next to averages, but the metals are probably diluted by the additional added oil. Even with the dilution, copper and lead tested high. Hopefully that's just wear-in metal related to the recent work, but they could show excess wear at bushings/bearings. If high oil consumption continues, test compressions. Follow up in 2,000 miles if all is well. No fuel found.." SUPER LUCKY |

Well not much happening right now. but I do plan on working on the car this week, as I am off work.. I have to change out #1 Injector to see if that fixes my intermittent Misfire I still have going on. Probably going to get my Soap cannon and stuff ready and try it out. I also have some Paint Touchup to get rid of some chips and bring it all back together, Its close. But I kinda want it perfect.. thats the OCD in me.. also have to wire my Wide Band up... and get that working. Otherwise I am trying to find venues that I can take the car to and enjoy it Hope everyone has a great week.

Changed out the injector on #1 where the intermittent misfire was occuring.. took about 10mins.. as #1 is the easiest to get to...thank goodness.. Cranked it up.. car was stumbling and only running on 3 cyls.... Reset the ECU.. Still stumbling.. reset again.. went on a short drive.. Injector finally kicked in.. smooooth as butter now, IDLE, boost, Tip-in.. ALL GOOD .. quick 20 mile drive. and everything is still AOK.No CELS.. .I hope that was it.. Letting the car cool off then going to crank it up and see what it does. Soooo Relieved right now
Old Injector New(used) injector.. AOK More later Bill |

New goodie. One of the last aesthetic pieces for the STi that's also functional with IAG welded TGV deletes. Puuuuurdy *On my way to Top-feed goodness and correcting my worn manifold. Got a great deal on this combo..this essentially makes is a long runner intake like on the JDM models.. Ingenious.. I found this locally.. Brand New and again a Great Deal that I couldn't pass up..

I got this for more aesthetics than anything.. Not doing some crazy build.. I am converting from sidefeeds to topfeeds..and I was going to get a new manifold anyway.. I got this for about 1/2 the price of what just the Manifold Retails for at the dealer with the IAG deletes .. so I think I won.. again no crazy build.. just converting the injectors.. and I would have had to buy TGV's anyways.. to complete my conversion.sooo win win in my mind.. ID1050s is next.. along with Sensor hookup for the deleted TGV's for Oil Pressure/temp. Thanks to Archer 1.8 . I also have another JDM goodie coming that will pretty much finish the engine compartment out.. Thanks as always

To Go along with my Update theme... I decided to update my Toolbox.. Old Stacker box was new in 1995.... Went with the new hotness of a Tool Chest. probably going to get another one. and get rid of the open bench..for continuity..
Old Craftsman box.. it holds stuff but not very efficient. New Hotness... Husky from Home Depot Bill |
