A Fuel Pump Equivelant to a Supra TT Fuel pump??
A friend of mine is working on his nitrous system for his rex.. I am reading on here that most of you who are using nitrous are also using an upgraded fuel pump, mostly the TT pump.. I saw it for like 240$, is there another more affordible option that does the same thing??? Like a 110$ walbro 342??? Thanks a lot for the help!!!

if the nitrous kit is a wet kit, there should be no need for a bigger fuel pump

Upon the recommendation from Mark at TurboXS, I just ordered the GSS342 (Walbro) pump from http://www.jdsperformance.com. I think it cost $115 shipped. Mark did say to use the stock WRX fuel pickup with the new pump.

Just be warned.. the Wallmart *cough* er, um.. Wallbro fuel pumps are LOUD. You will get a constant hum when your car is on.

FYI my GSS342 is quiet. Can only be heard at idle with the vehicle in a quiet location.

I can't hear my gss342...maybe it's cause the catless mk3 covers up all other sounds. I got mine new for 101 shipped (EP performance in NC). Total drop-in replacement. All that needed to be done was to bend the bottom bracket slightly since the larger pump is longer than stock.

Hey bud, did you get your WRX yet? How 'bout your MR2, have you sold it already. Back to the subject. I had a Supra TT pump in my previous MR2 and was very happy with it, a friend did a fuel pump upgrade at around the same time and went with the Walbro, it is noticably louder but then again the fuel tank on a MR2 is right in the center tunnel of the passenger compartment. |
