Unhappy Sad Days. Have to sell...

Hello my Subie Peeps! Please don't disown me when she's gone.

I just posted this up in SCIC (or something very similar) but it looks like my old go-to thread is a little quiet.

It's been a LONG time. And sadly, I have to go. The sad day has come. I have to sell my sweet girl. It's been soooo good. I honestly thought I'd be buried in my Black '06 STi, but we're moving and I can't take her with me. It's sadly just not practical.

We went to meets so many times back in the day. So many good people. So many beautiful cars - all gorgeous in their own way.

I dug around the forums a bit to try to read some rules, but I didn't see anything. Can somebody point me in the selling rules direction? Am I better off posting up in SCIC or in the main marketplace threads? I didn't see any restrictions, but I must have missed some stuff... I plan to list her on BaT, is it okay to link to external sites for stuff?

I can absolutely put all that information and photos and everything up here. I know it's better that way. But I plan to sell on BaT so I can link to that once it's up or I can down my ad here or whatever. I don't want to make anybody mad.

THANK YOU for your help. It breaks my heart to soon no longer be an STi owner. I freaking love my car. Sad days. But the sacrifice is necessary for better days ahead. I won't post anything more up until I'm sure I'm not breaking any rules.

You will regret it. Keep it and get Hagerty insurance for cheap and limit the miles per year. I have my 04 WRX wagon since may 23rd 2003. They will bury me in her. I have other cars but she’s a keeper. Either way good luck.

I also saved my first hot rod, and am happy for it often. All you hear are stories of missing those first loved cars, luckily mine was always too ugly to be worth parting with. OG MSNS-e. You will miss your youth, don’t miss the STI too

You can certainly post in the Vehicles for Sale section, just be sure to read the rules sticky before you do. Linking to an external site is ok as long as you also post all of the info here.

It should be ok to post in the SCIC classified section as well but check any rules that are posted, regional forums do their own thing as far as requirements for using their classifieds.

You can post in SCIC AND Private Vehicles for Sale. I'm very active moding the Private section and if you start your title with the 2 letter state, in the ad have a number price, you're fine. We're not as strict as we used to be and with picture sites all in the toilet, put pictures if you can figure out how but if you don't, that's fine.

I've always heard people say that selling their subie is one of the biggest regrets of their life. But, sometimes life does life things and you gotta move on. Godspeed brother

Best of luck OP.
I got rid of my WRX a long time ago, but the EV Subaru I have can fit the family, the dog, the kid's soccer stuff, and is still way faster than it needs to be.

Hope things swing back around and you can relive the boosted driving experience before too long.
Cheers!

Thank you all!

I didn't see any notifications - I am so sorry for the late replies.

Ernest: I know you're right. If I had any choice in the matter, I definitely would not. I thought I'd be buried in this car. I just love her. So good.

benflynn: I wish I could. We're moving to Europe and I simply cannot take her with me. It's just not reasonably practical; I don't have the 50k required.

Mulder: Thanks for the tips! I'll do that there.

Jack: Got it! I'll try to be a good boy. If I'm not, you can whack me on the knuckles with a ruler and I'll snap right to attention. I appreciate you!

dcostzwrx: Yes, Sir. Thank you! I need all the well-wishes I can get!

rallly 4: 106k. But I'm telling you man, she's a 9 for a 100k car. She's an 8 for a brand new car, maybe an 8+. But a 9 for a 100k. I'm her first owner.

Island3r: Very much appreciated. Thank you, kind Sir.

I'll see if I can make some time to get that post up tomorrow. She's black and she'll be going up on BaT in the coming weeks.

Pics or it didn't happen. My 04 wagon is at 350k miles and had it since brand new. She's out in my barn now and I need to put some miles on her this year.
