guess you just let the over spray fade inside the wheel... Does it end up like a gradient?

Anything but humid tbh. Temp doesn't matter as long as it's not really hot.

Do a test spray on something first with the metalizer it will turn the gold more of a yellow color.

I had the shop that did mine (friend) do a test spray and they did half just vintage gold and then the other half with metalizer and it turned it to yellow for my taste. so I would play around with it before you do the final spray. I know you can peal it off if you don't like it but why waste all that time for something you might not like.

When I do my wheels inside my garage I use a fan and set to high right after to help the drying process. Takes about 3-4 minutes for it to dry then I'm ready for the next coat. I've done this on two different occasions with 0 adverse affects

I agree somewhat. If the cans get TOO cold the spray will come out chunky. I noticed this just a few days ago with the red. It was fine until the cans got too cold. Put them inside to warm up a lil bit and started to spray fine again lol

I just did my RPF's a black cherry with the red metalizer. Came out more of a red/purple. I like em but I think I'll go the Vintage gold route and try some copper metalizer and see what happens. I'll try it on one wheel and see how it comes out

Any pics? I was thinking of doing that combo and I'm curious how they turned out.

Just Curious - How long did you have it on before you took it off? Was there any damage to the underlying paint after you removed it or did it look just like original?

Thanks for the advice! Will do that... Looking at that thread I linked, they look pretty good... Wasn't going to go with the 4 coats of the gold metalizer like he did... Thinking two coats over the vintage gold... But of course it is alway impossible to tell from just pics on the internet...

Guess it goes without saying I am going for that STI Limited Ed BBS gold!

I did read somewhere else, someone suggested putting them in warm water and keeping the spray times short... Weather this weekend looks like it will be a high around 50F here...
