This thread is full of win!

I have been wanting to do a matte vinyl on my car and I thought plastidip was only in cans and didnt want a half ass'd rattle can job on the car.

Christmas gift to me: pro spray kit and some different paints. Doing my whole GR, rims, and OEM rims + inside accents.

Why? RACECAR thats why. OP thanks for starting a great thread

glossifier..thats on you man. not that its bad or anything like that. if you want a shiny finish, thats the best way to go. if you dont like it, peel it off and start over. good luck!
I'm asking because I'd like to see what the color looks like, especially glossy. I'm not a big fan of matte colors.

Plasti dipped wheels with gold metalizer

Put on a layer of flat black dip before the gold metalizer

Plain flat black, full coat of gold metalizer on flat black and a BBS with light coat of gold metalizer on flat black.

another shot of the BBS

Are you running spacers? Brand and spec?

I have those same wheels but I have an inch of depth front & back, on 225width tires.

Yea 25mm all 4. They are eBay spacers. I wasn't paying hundreds of dollars for a spacer. Plus I got rotas now so I don't use them. For sale if interested

I bought a new SUBARU badge and placed it in line with the WRX badge. I didn't want to completely debadge the back end, but I wanted some symmetry and I think it turned out good. I also tried a couple times to plastidip the side fender badges and leave it in such a way to then have the WRX be red, but failed at that multiple times. Good thing plastidip is easy to remove.

you can do this but you would need to plasti dip the whole badge first in black then maybe brush on red paint on top of the plasti dipped wrx wording.

But that's the beauty of plasti-dip, the overspray on your tires just peels up. No need to waste your money on notecards. Just make sure when spraying to put a lot of overspray on the tires and poof it comes right off

Use a blow dryer and floss, pull it off the car (02-05) use goof off, strip the paint that you want to change the color of, then spray a new color. That's how I did mine. There's a write up somewhere on here. It would be a pain to try and mask of the stars externally...
