cyborgx_CZ I like how your car looks, That is something I would look fwd too as well as Mach v Dans' wrx. they do not look ricey at all and they look classy and fast. This is the quality I would be looking for when I hit that age and just couldn't picture a car that would look like porches/mercedez and bmw's. Don't get me wrong these lux. cars look sleek/sporty and fast, but they are not my cup of tee as everyone wants one.

Right now the mentality I have would be to make my car a bit like 69subaru360 and BVM as I got a PSM bugeye. Only mods is ecu tune and muffler.

Keep it going. . Also if you have pictures feel free to post them up. This thread is awesome.

Also the reason I ask what people would think is because i think we can all agree that it would look funny when you are 50 and are riding around a fully riced out Neon.. I used to have a neon with body kit, viper blue, chrome..etc and though my dad looked wierd driving it. He thought the same, but said it was fun. hehe. It wasn't riced out but screemed boy racer.. hehe, i was way younger.
Thanks :-) I have riced out Dodge Stratus, with super dark tint, huge F1 spoiler and some neon inside, anyway find out after 1 year this will not work for me :-)

46 and just took home an '09 WRX. She's my 3rd Subaru.

Low key exterior mods-body side molding, top and side rear bumper protectors, fog light protectors, Yakima roof rack for two bikes, their wheels and light cargo

Inside mods-SPT short throw shifter, SPT/Borla cat back exhaust, SPT billet battery tie down and oil resevoir cap, K & N flat panel air filter, GTSpec front strut brace

Changed the oil to Royal Purple (along with a Purolator PureOne filter) after the 1000 mile break in period. Applying for personalized license plate (TTH WRX) tonight.

Nothing fancy (so far).

I love this ride!

Cheers,

TTHWRX

Over 40 with a tuned WRX. I love my WRX.

I'm not interested in an "adult" car; I've already had one.

I'm 32, and have a few toys to play with.

The 67' is the family cruiser. I take the wife and 3 kids around the beach in that beast.
The STi is fmic stage II now, with a GT3076 and Nismo 740's with EWG on the shelf.
The Dodge is lifted 7 inches and wears 33" tires.

When you love cars, it doesn't matter what you're working on, or how old you are.
Passion = love

and one more for good measure.

I'm 33, and I recently traded my Stage 1 '05 WRX for an '08 STI (now at Stage 1). I'm going to put sway bars on it, and probably stop there. Car doesn't need much else. The '08 is a much nicer car for the older crowd, but in looks and comfort. Other than a little ride harshness is '08 STI is almost as luxurious as my '04 IS300.

I used to own a yellow 2000 Type R. That was a very boy racer car, and I'm glad I've moved on from that phase. But the WRX (especially '08+) is beyond that category, IMO.

42 and my 02 wagon had:

2.5 liter with WRX heads and VF30
EDM headlights
Type Euro front end
JDM 6spd
misc little interior mods.

The thing with mods is this.....if you grow out of it, you can change it. Set your car up the way YOU want it set up and then if your tastes change, just mod the car again.

modifying a car is a neverending state.....just accept it.

My wifes 02 sedan has stayed almost stock, but that is because she won't let me change it....maybe i should just wait for her to go out of town for a couple of days and have a mod weekend.

I'll be 52 in July. Just bought a 2009 OBP WRX hatch/wagon in early January.

I've always liked WRXs but had been resisting for one reason or another. Man, am I happy that I could no longer resist

Just shifting gears again alone is worth it. I actually enjoy driving again.

I'm just wondering because this will dictate how I build my car when I pay it off. Im currently 28 and like the racer look, but not sure if it would look cool when im above 30, (ex. too boy racer)
Why must you wait till you pay it off?

I have a year and a half left on my lease, and the supercharger goes in this month hopefully lol

but I'm not 30 so peace out

36 and I have a 05 WRX Wagon. Bought it more because I've been a long time rally fan, since those wonderful Group B cars of the 80's. Car includes STI hood scoop, SPT exhaust, Rally Armor UR's, Rally Innovations Skid Guard (soon to be mounted with some Hella 500's), Hella Supertones, and a color matched 'i' badge up front. May get wheels someday if I ever find a set I like, but in New England, 16" aren't that bad an option with all our potholes in the winter. I think of my car as 'all show, stock go'.
