Default VF 43 or VF 34 for 07 wrx tr

I can get great deals on both but want to ask what is the best turbo for the following ...

daily driver with quick responce .

mostly driven on highway but dont want a slug in traffic

looking to get 260 to 280 whp and maybe 300 to 320 wtq ( dont want to kill trans )

I dont want a turbo that comes on like a light switch but rather a turbo that can be tuned for a tapered ramp ( again the trans thing )

obviously I am looking for quick boost onsought and good throttle response looking for good linear power band what do you recomend between the 2

PS both will be new IHI turbo's from reputable vendor 43 is less $ than the 34

43 being cheaper and almost the same thing.

It will realize your goals, as will the 34.

VF43 FTW! It can be tuned to exactly what your looking for. P&L Motorsport is selling the VF43 kits like hotcakes. Give Ty a call at P&L awesome bang for the buck you can get the kit (sorry I forget what is all in it so I am not going to attempt at a guess but the entire VF43 kit is cheaper than a new VF43!!

if you can get both for about the same price then go for the vf34, ball bearing= faster spooling. plus you can sell it for more than the vf43.

You answered none of the OP's questions. Ball bearing has never been proven to out spool from anything I have ever seen posted in any Proven Bragging Threads. And one guy that does is far from making it a factual statement. This is why even if you break the 1/4 record its required to be done 2x to make official. Every STI or WRX even with same mods has it's own personality and characteristics.

thanks for the tip , I have already been in contact with Ty and his pricing is GREAT !. looks like the 43 is the winner . I was under the understanding that the 34 was bigger (slightly ) and would spool quicker I may have been wrong ..

I got a 43 done on my 06 wrx with a sti tmic, gimmick motorsports turbo inlet, gm boost selenoid and turbo back and apv1 and I pro-tuned it at P&L and it put down 307whp and 355wtq. It spools very fast and am very happy to say the least P&L did a great job. Jeff

I really fell in love with this turbo after I recently picked up my 07 STI. It's a really nice turbo and I'm happy I can provide it at a stellar price for everyone!

307/355 is nothing to scoff at !

i would take vf43, because it's newer and you can get very good numbers with it on 06-07 wrx

What about a VF-43 or VF-22 coated and ported?
