Just bought a 2018 WRX Premium in WRB... Going to have to pick up some all seasons tires for winter. I'll admit I know next to nothing about tires. Can anyone recommend a good all season tire for colorado that will fit the 2018? 245/40R18.

Don't need winter tires, always drove my 05 WRX and 02 Forester with all seasons and no problems. Thanks in advance!

I wanna stay away from snow tires just because of the downsides of driving them when the roads are clear. I don't mind taking it in to have tires/wheels swapped twice a year but I don't have the means to do it myself.

Default The Official Colorado/Denver thread

Sorry I didn't read the part about not wanting dedicated winter, but for me I always do two sets of tires.
But if you want all season find some Michelin ones, they always do really well and are quieter plus smoother. I think I had the pilot sport a/s .
I liked my continental extreme contact dws06 better just due to how I drive.

No worries. I know blizzak is highly regarded. Can't blame you for recommending them. If I had the space and equipment to quickly swap wheels and tires I would definitely go that way.

I really like the Kuhmo Ecsta 4X II. It's an ultra high performance all season that does great in wet and lighter snow.

No experience with that brand. How do they hold up?

Right now I'm oscillating between the Yokohama Advan Sport A/S and the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S.

So, after reading the posts redirecting CO members to awdpirates.net... I used to be a member there back in the day and it used to be a great tight knit community. The place is dead these days.

So let's liven things up over here. Anyone interested in doing a meet up or anything?

Just moved to Fort Collins, I'd be down for a meetup, even if I have to drive to Denver...I see WRX's and STI's all over the place here, surprised that there isn't more action in this forum?!?

my guess is that it's a wrap using a color-shifting vinyl...a friend of mine runs a shop in Ohio that specializes in wrapping and he did his 911 in a color-shift that looked exactly like this.

You might enjoy this video as well:

That is a car from the Springs and it's plasti dip, not vinyl. The shop in the background does plasti dip colors.

Also, do you have or have you had a GS300? Just curious. I used to have a GS400 that was Supercharged.

Misleading name, I know. They refer to plasti dip as "liquid wrap". Dumb, in my opinion.

Can anybody recommend a emissions testing place in Denver? Driving down from winter park so the closet to the mountains the better.

Good Morning All,

I'm visiting Denver for a few days and I'm curious to know if there are any scooby weekly meets in the area? I've noticed more Utah related posts than Colorado. I attempted to check out AWDpirates but did not want to register.

Any info would be appreciated.

We have weekly Wednesday meets. The location changes and were not real active here on NACIOC. Search for South Denver Subaru Club on facebook. Nic is the moderator, message him if youre not approved to join or just looking for a meet location.
