Talking I got my 2009 Forester XT Limited today!!!!

I love it - the exhaust is awesome (SPT exhaust). I posted a review of the excellent buying experience I had with Farrish Subaru over here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1607314

OK, so with no further delay - pics and a video:

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wghoLP-uL-I
(Make sure you have good speakers to hear the exhaust)

The exhaust sounds very very deep, and very bassy. Reminds me of older muscle cars from back in the late 60s, early 70s. I love it.

Beautiful car. If we didn't already have a Tribeca, the XT would have made it into the stable.

Nice I need to get some good speaker to listen to this exhaust. I want to hear it so bad. I just took my 09 FXT on a good 1468 mile journey from Columbus, GA to Colorado Springs, CO. I love how it rides great pick up and everything.

I edited out the horrible music from the video and got this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wghoLP-uL-I

All SPT exhaust. On my dedicated speakers, it sounds like a beast.

Don't worry - I won't delete it. I know how many '08 WRX sedan owners want to hear that exhaust as well, since that is the SPT Exhaust for the '08 WRX sedan. What's awesome about the '09 FXT is that it is basically an '08 WRX/'09 Impreza GT sedan with a different body and a raised ride height. Everything from the WRX/Impreza GT should bolt right on perfectly. The SPT exhaust for the '08 WRX sedan bolts directly onto the '09 FXT perfectly!!!!

Did it come with HIDs, or are the headlights just mega bright?

As far as I know, no HIDs. Not sure if they are mega bright, will let you know how they are next time I head up to the mountains.

My Forester XT reminds me of a muscle car from '69/'70 - and that's about what it sounds like inside. It's a very deep bassy growl. To me, between the soft suspension, high ride height, plentiful low end torque, the large hood scoop, the loud deep exhaust, and the lousy tires - I keep thinking I am driving a muscle car and not a Forester XT. I love it. This is like having my cake and being able to eat it too for me.

I really do love it - it's so much more comfortable and much more practical than my '05 Legacy GT ever was. The ride height and AWD will come in handy this winter when I head up to the mountains New Year's week. The cargo space is enormous, the seats are much softer than the rock solid ones from my old Legacy. It's much more comfortable to drive on my very poorly maintained local roads. I can go on and on.

That was my impression when I drove a WRX for the first time. That was one of the main reasons I bought it. It seemed like one of the muscle cars that was based on a sedan, rather than a "pony" car. A car like a Chevelle or 340 Dart or Road Runner, rather than a Mustang, Camaro or 'Cuda.

Your exhaust sounds great. It seems like it's not too loud, just loud enough to hear over traffic and wind noise, and with a nice note of authority.
