These dampers have a poor viscosity range. They will thump during the cold days of winter unfortunately. It drove me nuts but the only thing to do is adjust the dampers so the valves are fully open, keep off the extra pressure from the fluid being thicker.

If you can't adjust your damper settings in the rear you either have the allen key adjusters in wrong; fronts are in the back and backs are in the fronts, or something is up. Emailing us or calling will be much quicker than us coming across your forum post. 603 715 9078 [email protected] M-F 9-5 Happy to help! Thanks

I just installed a set of these on my car. I'm going to do some adjustments this afternoon as my height guess was pretty far off. Any recommendations?
1) How does the stiffness settings work? I used the tool and turned it tight, and I swear I thought I went past 32 clicks? Is each click one setting range, or a full revolution a setting change? 2) Is using stiffer or softer settings better for the longevity of the struts? Does it matter? Just curious. 3) You can adjust ride height without removing the coilover, right? (Sorry, my first set of coilovers here.) I found this video. Last edited by skep18; 03-04-2013 at 04:15 PM. |

These coilovers are great down to about -20, colder than that they are stiff, and clunky. Now, that being said, I've owned a WRX and an STi. Both of those car's stock suspension was stiff and clunky at those temperatures also. The extreme cold temperatures are just hard on vehicles. Seats are like concrete, tires go flat, or have a square side from being parked over night, doors don't shut correctly due to the weatherstripping being too hard. You have to deal with a lot of crap in the cold weather. My solution for the winter was to dial them all the way soft, and drive easily for the first few miles. About to when the tires retained their round shape too. Let the suspension cycle a few times, and warm up. |

That is a amazing testament to not only the ISC's, but the entire car! I think you will win the most harsh winter award!

Thank you. I really like the coilovers. I bought them in the original group buy from AJW Performance. Andrew has been great to work with even after the sale. They worked with me on shipping, sold me the rear extenders and followed up with an extra set screw when one of mine vanished. It speaks volumes. I will be buying another set from them for my project car... regardless the fact that they are on the other side world from me.
Actually they are probably the FURTHEST place I could order from. I just looked at a map. 4,421 miles away! |

so i got my damping to work. i bought my coilover used and the guy only gave me 2 adjustment key. i didn't know the rear was different than the fronts. luckily a local has isc on his gc. tried the rear longer adjustment key and it works fine! and for the clunking. my average temp during winter in wisconsin is 20-30f. my average driving miles a day is only -30. ill recheck my preload |

You need to take the adjuster clicker out before trying this. The shaft is a 5mm allen key

Ordered some ISC's from IIR. Can't wait to get them. Gave me a good excuse to get some rims too. Its going to be a good surprise cause I have no clue on the tracking information. I'm just figuring 5-7 days from the day I ordered them(last thursday).
