Default Bad decisions make good stories

Just thought it would be fun to hear and share some stories with members on some bad decisions that made for funny stories car related or not... Ill start, so this is my first winter in my car. I have had it for about 3 months now, and i was curious to see how drifting is in comparison to my previous vehicle a front wheel drive eclipse. Well anyway alot of my friends have subies, and i was asking some for some tips on correct throttle to steering compensation around corners. I had one of my friends take me out in a spin in my car to show me just for fun, as we were rounding the first corner he ripped it sideways drifted swung back and transitioned into another corner. He looked at me smiled and said thats hows it done dude next corner boom in the ditch in about 2 feet of snow. So im sitting there laughing my ass off while he has the dumbest look on his face, he look me right in the face and says "guess what i just diiiiiiiiid?" which made it only funnier. Well we drove right out after a couple back and forths but it was still funny as hell. He blames it on the fact that i have a drive by wire and not a throttle cable lol

So... which is it? Your "friend" screwed up, or you were avoiding a moose? Or both?

I'd buy all the bodyparts I, and everyone else on AKIC has for sale. Sounds like you'll need them.

Wow...

totally mis-titled thread.

It should be "Really bad decisions make for really sad stories".

And that the whole ordeal seems lost on you***8230;.even sadder.

Hope your deep pockets don't run out before you learn the lesson.

Shoulda guessed that when i started this thread everyone was going to bash me... This thread was started to hear stories about bad decisions not for people to sit and moch other people for there decisions... I wasnt aware only a handful of us had a sense of humor. To clear up the fact that yes my car was damadged in a ditch dive accident to avoid a moose i was in the wrong place at the wrong time no one got hurt and thats what matters right? My car is now fixed, as for the second time ive been in the ditch i wasnt driving i thought it was a funny story to share lighten up nomad...
