At least my accord is a V6
Rub it in. When i do finally get my car, its gonna feel like a WRC car compared to this accord. Have you called SOA yet to check on a VIN

That is a load of crap, I ordered mine on 8/30 and that day I got a sheet with the price breakdown right on it. I got my VON and order confirmation a couple days later when they actually put the order in (it was a holiday weekend). The only possible reason they wouldn't give you a sale sheet with a price is if they are trying to screw you (in my opinion).

Pics as promised, it had 5 miles on the odometer when I took delivery of it (rolled over to 6 as I was pulling onto the highway outside the dealership. I'm so happy to have it in my garage...although they did forget the screws for my license plates since I bought a couple of the black stainless steel ones

Otherwise I'm all kinds of It's interesting that in the pics the DGM is nearly black, I couldn't be happier with the color. I think I would have liked the SWP, but this is the color I've really wanted...not quite black but still sleek and sexy!!!

Haha I honestly meant that V6 comment sarcastically. Hell, if the thing had a V8 it wouldn't even matter...it's not a WRX

Nah I haven't tried that yet. Everybody says it pisses the dealer off, but if I don't get an update this week I'll probably call.

Since we went to the same dealer, how did they treat you with the price? Did they tell you the same thing that we'd do all the "paperwork" once the car gets in, or were you able to get your numbers in writing and signed on the day of your order? I just want to see if they do that with everybody or if they're planning on pulling a fast one on me. I had verbal confirmation from them on the price, but we all know how good that can be...

There is 100% no reason that anyone should not get a selling price at the time of order. Subaru has all the pricing easily accessible to all the dealers. They are either being lazy, or trying to F around if a dealer tells you they don't know the pricing until the car arrives.

Just FYI

Some dealers allow deliveries on Saturday, but we do not.

Even if we had them dropped off on a Saturday we do not have the technicians here, nor the time in service, to get the PDI done so they would just sit here until Monday...

My dealer printed out the order form with my VON that also included the invoice pricing, but I was able to get $500 or so below invoice. When he handed it to me he said my price was subject to change. When I asked him to explain,he pointed to invoice and MSRP and said if they change then my price will change too. I asked him to write my price on the order form (but he didn't sign it). It has me a little nervous that they will try to screw me when I go and pick it up. This was the GSM by the way.

That shouldn't make you nervous at all. We too have a disclaimer on our orders that IF Subaru raises (or lowers) the pricing of the car (MSRP or Invoice) that the customer has to pay the difference.

Since 1999 I have yet to see Subaru raise (or lower) prices on the cars once they are made official...we just have to cover our arses.

So what percent tint you guys doing? When I get mine I'm going straight from the dealer to my tint shop and getting that done first. I was thinking 10 or 20

I think I'm going for 45-50% on SWP. I don't want to be too dark, but I want something. Most people get 35% around here and I personally feel like it makes you stand out too much to the cops or thieves.

Check the laws, last thing you want is your shinny new car attracting the wrong attention where you are paying $50 tickets every week.
P.S. 10 on top the factory tint will be retarded dark.

Indiana doesn't have any laws prohibiting any tint as far as I know.

Also, there is no "factory tint" on a wrx/sti other than the slight UV protection that is built into all automotive glass.

Noob question.... On the SPT Exhaust System, does it get you better mpg? Worse? Doesn't change mpg? I know it's called 'Performance Exhaust' does it give you better HP? Same? Seems like the only thing I've read is that it makes a strong low growling sound, that some like and some don't....

Thanks in advance guys, this forum is great! Good day!

So my first real drive around town in my new car and another WRX pulled up next to me and waved, it was pretty awesome and left me smiling. I saw him pull behind me and he made an obvious effort to pull up next to me when I got into the other lane and had his gf wave. That never happened in my last car, makes me feel good about the community ive joined. Of course I waved back
