Default STi valve springs on EJ25 DOHC heads?

Subject says it all. Can I put STI valvesprings and retainers on the stock valves in a set of DOHC EJ25 heads? It may be an alternative to getting aftermarket springs and stuff so I can raise my rev limit. If so, what would the part numbers be?

Thanks in advance,

Jay Storm

I checked into this for my build. Retainer and spring part #s were differant.
I had TWE order me a set. 67 lbs at the seat and 148 lbs open at stock lift. The ones on their site now are 75 seat and 212 at .380 lift.
They got more than one set when mine were ordered so they have more.Same price. They came from down under.
It's been said that the ver.3 heads are the same castings as our DOHC heads, so that would be another option. Jun has some stuff, but their pricey.

Good luck,
Tod

Thanks Tod. I have my dealer looking into this as well. I was hoping the sizing would be compatable. I was holding TWE in my hand as a plan B because the price isn't all that bad at all. I was hoping I could use STi springs and excercise a nice discount from my dealer at the same time.

I'll post what I end up doing.
