Turns out to be Massa and comments about his career being over are flying all over the place. He looks to be hurt but is able to get out of the car.

As the shot pans out to give us the entire view another Ferrari is limping by off the track and pull in between the armco. Turns out Alonso's engine blew dropping oil all over the track and Massa who was behind him hit the oil and spun.

Alonso comes out furious saying his season is over... and the commentators are still wondering where the medical team is for Massa as he has yet to be attended to.

whoa..
That sounds like a crazy ass dream! Do u remember what track it could of been at? Alonso is definitely frustrated! He should of had at least one WDC by now already

whew.. thank god for that.. I was wondering maybe my attachment (Wikipedia screen grab) wasnt showing up.

Andor, no recollection of the track.. the dream pretty much started (or at least what I remember of it) was at the cut to watching the dust settle from the tbar camera shot. It was a grassy track with tire barriers, armco and catch fencing. overcast skies with 30 foot high grassy banks just behind the fences for spectators to sit on.

I have never been able to recall a dream this vividly.

At least you got posting it out of the way.

Now you can prove your deja vu really exists. (Has no idea how to spell that)

And my phone wanted to correct "Liana" to "Lionel" before I told it otherwise.

Luca di Montezemolo says the FIA showed a lack of courage when dealing with the Mercedes tyre testing scandal.

Mercedes was banned from this year's Young Driver Test at Silverstone having carried out a three-day tyre test for Pirelli using a 2013 car earlier in the season. The FIA's International Tribunal handed out the punishment having apportioned some blame to Mercedes, some to Pirelli and some to the FIA itself.

However, Montezemolo says the FIA did not show enough courage to properly punish Mercedes and that the benefits are now clearly being seen despite the tyres having been altered twice since that test.

"Formula 1 also has to be a clean sport without any of the monkey business we have had to put up with in recent years," Montezemolo told Corriere della Sera. "From next season, we will have a completely different F1, finally less dependent on aerodynamics. I build cars not planes. We will finally have testing again and not a farce like what we saw this year with one team doing illegal testing without even paying the right penalty for it.

"In this case, I would have expected more clarity and courage from the FIA. On the other hand, the benefits gained by the team that carried out the secret banned testing are watched by everyone: before then, it had not won a single grand prix, then after the test it won three out of five races. These are the sort of serious incidents that affect F1's credibility and alter the championship."

Doesn't the Concorde Agreement grant Ferrari exclusive rights to shenanigans? It's understandable why they're upset.

latest rumors:
- again financial problems for Sauber (the russians haven´t paid any dollars yet). One partner, NIAT, denied being part of the deal moneywise.
- again financial problems for Lotus (30.000.000 dollarbucks real problems, 90.000.000 dollarbucks a sponsor/GENII problem)
- Räikkönen will start 2014 for Ferrari according to a finnish newspaper

I love the silly season

I just want to see the racing again, please

If Kimi doesnt go to RB, then RB are fools. Lotus would be therefore wise to grab a pay driver with some talent, though those are seriously lacking - Jules Bianchi might suffice. He has some skill, but I am unsure what funding he would bring. Massa will stay again, since he is the known quantity at Ferrari and they desire continuity. Bianchi may move to Ferrari, but again - Lotus is the likely place for the Frenchman in my own mind. Even if the kid is Ferrari Academy; look out for him in 2015, not 14. Mid pack will shuffle, and young bad drivers will buy their way into the back marker seats. End of silly season.

Agreed, boring libelous rumors are boring.

Also agreed on RB. If the car is there, and who the hell knows what 2014 will bring, they could have 2 championship contenders. Maybe that's a fear? Either way, Kimi is too fast, consistent and low maintenance not to pick up.

Bianchi to Ferrari is too soon. I'd expect a Hulkenberg/DiResta to go there and replace Massa. I think he's out of chances. Every year it's the same thing with him being rubbish and expecting a few good results in a fast car will get him through another season.

Massa's qualifying pace has been pretty consistent this year and seems to be on the upper end of what the car can deliver as he has been within a few hundredths or better than Alonso most weekends. Unfortunately his race pace has been bouncing between inconsistent and unlucky almost all season. It is too bad that Sauber is in the financial situation they are, if they didn't have to take on two pay drivers I think Felipe could so some damn fine work as the number one driver there, though he probably isn't keen on being the best of the mid pack.

Kimi back at Ferrari is absurd to think about given the situation that caused him to exit the team previously, so based on standard F1 protocol it is probably going to happen.

I wonder if Alonso and Hamilton are on a path of trying to chase the a championship rather than letting it come to them. Lewis' move looks brilliant right now, but 2014 and 2015 could turn that on its head, meanwhile Alonso is possibly about to leave the team he joined to win another title in more or less the same circumstances that brought him there.

what i'd *like* to see (not based on any fact whatsoever):
Kimi to Red Bull
Hulkenberg to Ferrari
Masa to Lotus (hahah, with him and Grosjean as their drivers, they'd qualify well but never finish a race!)

unrelated:
Montoya to Porsche alongside Webber!
