'98 Intake
Just wanting to find out what's available for the '98 RS in the way of intake systems and what kind of improvements to expect. I know there have been problems on the '99. Any on the 98? I'd appreciate any input and experiences.

Everything that works on the '99 works on the '98. One good thing is you don't have to worry about blowing your MAF. The '98 MAF is more durable than the '99. Your choices for intakes would be Minnam, JC Sports and Weapon*R. I don't know exactly what kind of gains to expect out of the DOHC, but it should be worth while!

Don, I see your a new member, or one that has not been around very long, at least on this board. But be sure to do one thing, before you buy...
::Flame suit on:: ::Flame suit off:: (no need for it, everyone agrees with this, i suppose) Do some research on a company before you deal with them.... Nuff said (in reference to Strepto's list of companies) Suby |

i have the Weapon R on my 99 and have had no problems... at all... did experience some HP gains... and love the grrrowl... but others will tell you not to get a Weapon R - do a search on "intakes" - you'll get more than enough info...!!! j. |

I have the Turn3 Intake. It's cool. added some HP.
But Turn3 isn't an issue anymore. They dont make em anymore, and I'm not sellig mine!! Maybe I'll reverse engineer it and sell em myself. PS- MY98: http://www.universeg.com/impreza/gallery/ [This message has been edited by giulio (edited May 16, 2000).] |
