Default Clear bra pricing

I got a quote for $2000 for a clear bra, covers bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. 10 year warranty. Not sure if that's such a great deal, I've seen some quotes from people in other areas getting the same coverage for $700ish. It's not 3m, it's another company I haven't heard of. I'm going to get a quote from another couple of shops first, but the prices on the wall indicated $800 for what I wanted. Not sure about this.

I got the Xpel half kit installed for $1000. It covers full bumper, mirrors, half fenders and half hood. If u get it installed i would also recommend a detailer or yourself to apply Opticoat on top of it and the rest of your car for added protection.

Depends on the film. Go with the cheapest film, and expect $800 for the coverage you're being quoted (which is a lot of parts to cover). Go with something like Xpel, and yeah, it's gonna get expensive. Personally, I'd recommend Xpel.

You're getting what you pay for...

I recently had my whole front end (full hood, full fenders, front bumper, mirrors) as well as my side skirts and lower half of the rear 1/4 panels done with SunTek PPF at a cost of $1900. I was debating between SunTek and Xpel films (decided early on that the 3M product wasn't right for me), and I don't think you'd be unhappy with either. HOWEVER, I do strongly recommend full hood instead of a partial...especially with a black paint job. Do your research on local installers and ask to see their work, check out their facilities, etc. The right installer will make it worth every penny, choose the wrong one that lacks skill/experience and you will be very disappointed.

2000 seems a bit high. I have Xpel, full front bumper/mirrors/ partial hood and fenders for $700 from arguably the best shop in Honolulu.

I would recommend Xpel as well.

To add another consideration; clear paint films come in matte or gloss. Having used both, I think I prefer the gloss, as it makes it harder to see the difference between covered and uncovered panels.

I shopped around quite a few places and $2k+ was pretty consistent in Arizona where I had my PPF installed. As I was doing research, I found that a lot of other areas in the country had lower install costs...while a few were more expensive. Definitely varies by location, materials, and installer.

I also found that it was significantly less expensive for partial hood and fenders compared to full hood and fenders...but as I mentioned, with black paint, I would personally recommend full hood and fenders to eliminate "the line" on those areas. As I understand it, there are so many complex curves on the front bumper that a few (slightly) visible seam lines can't be avoided on that part of the car in particular.

So it sounds like I'm not getting ripped, but it's not on the low side either. I'm going with full hood, bumper cover, fenders, and mirrors.

I have to change my profile info. The black 17 was totaled last month, I have a WRB 18 now.
