Just picked up a '14 and trying to decide on lights. I'm running the 4 Hellas on a bracket I made for the '02, but for the new car its going to be a 20" bar probably under the bumper even though they will be driving lights. The Hellas are tied into the high beam circuit via a relay so they go on with the highs.

Is it possible to install 2 off road lights where they would be with a Rally Innovations bar, without the mounting bar?

If not, any alternitives to the RA light bar? It looks sweet, but it is kind of pricy.

The car is a 2003 Bugeye WRX wagon.

Oh yeah, HELLO ALL! First post ever here!

Any chance you have the ability/means to make your own? That's what I did as I didn't like the price of the RA light bar, as nice as it is.

Here's my setup:

Its by Rally Innovations

IMO it was far from worth the price of $480 +/sh that I payed with out even being powder coated. Now its $379.99 +s/h with no light mounting tabs....they are $25 extra. The mounting system is a joke and will kill your AC condenser/radiator if you get a 5mph bump. I redid all the mounting with seriously solid attachments. If the bar/pipes were not super light weight gauge pipe I could jack the front end of the car off the ground via the bar now.

You could have a local fab shop bang something out similar in heavier wall pipe with better attachment points for the same or less $$$. Im not one to bash peoples/Co products but this is just too much coin for the product.

I just realized I used this thread for ideas but never actually posted in it.

Here is my 2012 GR STi with the Rally Innnovations light bar and Rigid Industries Dually D2 LED driving lights:

The LED lights are amazing. As for the light bar, it came scratched and poking out of the box and I had to repaint it (as shipping it back would've cost way more...).

I have worked out wiring so that I can turn a 3-way switch one way to have the lights 'follow' the high beams on/off, or turn it the other way to turn them on whenever (for use as fog lights).

I have an ebay light bar mounted up top. Cant remember the size honestly. It does alright, it REALY light up right around the front of the car. I do get a bunch of glare off of the hood. Also have two hella 700FF mounted on the front. Honestly really disappointed in the output, I'm really considering a DIY HID retrofit. Should cost a whole lot less than hella HIDs

I prefer the stealth effect for my lights. These are Hella's on my own custom fab'd behind the grill light bar.
