Default Looking for demo cars - Paint Correction and Headlight Restoration

Hey SCIC

Note: My driveway is very steep so if your car is slammed or very low, chances are I can't work on your car. Sorry.

I'm sure this will probably get locked but I wanted to put a feeler out there for anyone with an older (or newer) subaru whose paint/headlights have seen better days.

The more heavily swirled the better!

Long story short, I need demo cars for paint correction before/after shots and headlight restoration before/after.

Why?

I've been doing paint correction and detailing on the side for the past 10 years now to pay for school, but after some soul searching I realized that I don't want to sit in a cubicle for the rest of my life. With only a handful of classes to go for my mechanical engineering degree I'm taking a step back to try something I love.

With that being said, I registered a business name and I intend on doing this for as long as I can.

What's in it for me?
You're receiving an expensive service at a large discount because I want to showcase what proper paint correction can do for older cars that people deem "a lost cause". My goal is to make the car look better than new, no exceptions.

Is it safe?

Yes, all of my machines and products are 100% safe and as minimally invasive as possible. Also, before I even consider working on a car I do a full walk around and measure the clear coat.

Just registered a business name and got cards, website is in the works but I'd prefer to use free marketing outlets at this point in time (Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/southOCautospa/)

Located in South Orange County

If you're interested please feel free to contact me and we can work something out.

This can give you an idea of what I'm offering:

How long does the process take? My car is in pretty god condition, but I know she's accumulated some things over the past few years.

That depends on the condition of the paint and the size of the vehicle.

I would have to see it in person to give you an honest estimate.

If the clear/gel is oxidized (fading) correcting it would only be a band-aid, every couple of weeks/months it would have to be redone.

Only true fix is a respray.

I have a 1998 GC8 with 200k SoCal miles on it. It has some minor dents and a very small amount of surface rust. 20 year-old car under the SoCal sun will do a lot. Is that something you would be interested in?

Hmm that might be a bit past the threshold of what I can revive.

I do know of a great paintless dent removal guy - Alloutdent. He's mobile as well.

This weekend's project - Virgin MBP paint.

Original paint (for the most part) and a one owner car to boot.

50/50 shot

This is using a one step correction so it won't break the bank!

I've always done detail work as a hobby and occasional side work. Always satisfying to see the end result. Just picked up a Flex 3401....so much correcting power. If your in need of occasional help, let me know

Nice, if I ever need an extra set of hands I'll contact you!

Always heard great things about the Flex, came close to getting one but went with the Rupes instead.

I'm really interested. Don't know if my car will qualify for the large discount but I'm curious for pricing nonetheless.

so this is gonna cost or is it free?
I'm assuming its free cause you need a car to work on but just verifying.

I have a 2007 c230 merc benz that needs some work (nothing major, only swirls and bad car washes) and will definitely fit your bill.

with original paint.

since its still has the original clear coat, how much of it will you be taking off? I don't want to lose that much since it at this age.

also where are you located exactly? the south OC is still a large area.

also anyone who wants a review from me on how his work is just pm me.

we made plans a few days ago so I could come down to his place and check it out in person. he promises me that there will be an awesome car to work on Friday so I can get a full view of the work. I'm pretty intrigued on the before and after. I'm a business man and enjoy good products and services from vendors. to me someone who follows through with their service says a lot on how they will treat your valuables and more importantly they will show their level of integrity.

ill be back with a full review guys.

Sorry this didn't work out, the car in question had flawless paint, something I haven't encountered up until now (astonishingly). Normally someone says, "yeah the paint is in good shape". But when I get it under my inspection lights it's quite the opposite.

This is specifically why I have to see the cars in person before I can quote the time required.

Anyways, the car was decontaminated and prepped for coating by the end of day 1.
