Im trying to decide if I should go with a cobb catted downpipe or invidia catted downpipe. Im also going to get a uppipe, saw a cobb uppipe with or without EGT Bung what advise could you guys give me on downpipes and uppipes and what does EGT mean. Are these products good products. What suggestion could you guys give me about downpipes and uppipes.

Personally I would recommend getting the COBB as they make a lot of good products for Subarus. There really isn't a need for the EGT bung unless you want to retain the factory sensor. However, if you are going to mod the car correctly, then you will need some kind of EM once you purchase a complete exhaust system. If you go with an Access Port then it will cancel out the CELs you get if you don't hook up the EGT sensor. For the time being there is a "CEL fix" that you can do to eliminate the CEL. Try doing some searching to see what I'm talking about.

Also, EGT means exhaust gas temperature.

egt = exhaust temp

what catback do u plan on getting? the cobb is a taper to 2.5 with a dounut flange to work with ur stock catback or any catback that tapers. the invidia doesnt mate up to the stock so well. it leaks and its a 3" flat flange.

i suggest the cobb dp cause it doesnt sound like u know much so i dont think youll be modding ur car with lots of power and ppl seem to think the cobb system holds back power when over a certain amount

If you want a true 3 inch exhaust go with the invidia. I would buy the cobb though nothing but good things are said about the downpipe, but it does bottleneck.

I seriously, seriously doubt that a 0.5" bottleneck, over a length of maybe 3", would cause any repeatable power restriction. Buy your exhaust based on A) the volume of the catback and B) whether or not you want to retain at least one cat for emissions reasons. And a 3" flat flange won't leak if you install it properly.

The Cobb DP is just so bloody expensive. I would personally go with the invidia, the only reason I didnt is because I have a CObb catback that tapers to 2.5'' and it wouldnt mate up perfectly. I went with a PDE catless myself.
