Default Will these wheels fit my car?

I have an 04 sti. I was looking at some used wheels and was wondering if the wheel size 18x10 5x100 +50 would fit my car. I'm still learning wheel sizes and offsets so I have no idea. Thanks

I think they would fit if you ground about an inch off of the shock tower and removed the fenders.
Seriously though - 10" is a bit wide and the 50 offset would not clear the suspension at all. You might do a search before another 50 people tell you to do one.

p.s. - The third post in this section under "stickys" is a wheel offset thread - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335263

That is a wide wheel... Most people running that wide choose much much lower offsets, have had their fenders extensively rolled and pulled, sometimes have fender flares, and I'm sure they've done a lot of work to suspension components. So, unless you do all of that, that wide a wheel will never fit. Try something realistic.

You have a better chance of doing it on stock suspension. If you want to lower it that's when you need to roll and maybe pull fenders. Wheel spacers can help clear brembos and suspension. If you have access to the wheel, the best thing to do is put them on the car and see if they fit. But in short, there will be work involved in fitting these wheels yes.

No. Offset is way too high. Especially considering the overwhelming amount of 10" wheels in more friendly offsets.

Why not just try and fit it.

18x9 +55mm is really the widest/highest offset you can run a stock suspension GD.

The 04s appear to have less room in the rear (strut side) so yeah it's not looking good.

If they are a friend's set of wheels and you've got a stack of spacers it would be interesting experiment but don't expect them to work.

In other words, you haven't actually started learning anything yet.

If you did get it to fit, I'm sure it would look sick.

Contrary to popular belief, bigger isn't always better when it comes to tires and wheels. I do like the look of a bigger tire, but some times you just gotta take a step back and let your mind decide instead of your eyes.
