Default CarPlay Phone Call Audio is Horrible

So I have a Sony XAV-AX5000, everything through Carplay works excellent, except for audio in phone calls. Sometimes I get high pitch hissing, sometimes its choppy, sometimes static. I know all my wiring is fine, as all other audio through carplay is perfect, and all apps function properly.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is call audio via the head units system (not carplay) the same or better?

Have you isolated the problem to the headunit? Meaning try to use carplay phone calls on your phone, and on someone elses phone. Also is the headunit firmware up to date?

The full reboot is turning by pressing the two buttons on an iPhone 10 not just one. If that does not work do you have a friend that has an iPhone this way you just eliminated your iPhone. See if the problem is still there if it is then HU is at fault. I know this can be frustrating but you want to eliminate any variable also swap the cords.
