Default EJ255 Motor Build...

2005 Outback XT build

I have a 2005 EJ255 with D25 Heads (Spun Rod Bearing) and a 2014 EJ255 with D25 fHeads (Wrecked Car Broken Timing belt, Low Compression on all cyl probably bent valves) ...both engines are complete. Want to frankenstein them to get the best of both worlds.

As I understand The D25 Heads flow better with the Hemi Chambers but have higher compression. The TVS assembly allow for Top Feed injectors, but do not have the Position sensor. Has Forged Nitrided Crank.

Looking for 350-400 hp daily driver with potential for a improvement later on.
CP Pistons and Manley H Tuff rods are on the way. I have a Cobb Tuner, so I could potentially delete the TVS and run the top feed?

Need Opinions on how you'0d run with it.

here the truth of it all. head aren't going to make that big of a difference. Its mostly in the turbo. especially if you are chasing numbers

I've heard that it can make a difference when tuning, quench, compression ratios, they all can affect detonation. I agree a turbo sizing does make a difference in spool vs max boost but there is usually more to the equation. The FA has less effect due to their Direct Injection where the higher pressures can allow for wider timing advance whether ignition or cam but if I'm not mistaken the EJ have to be more calculated.
