Hey everyone, my name is Ted and I recently picked up a 2016 Legacy.
I have been in the auto scene since 1999. Started with a 2000 Honda Civic, then a 91 Chevy Cavalier, a 1998 Jeep Wrangler(the early years were rough), then I picked up an 89 Nissan 240sx(I SR20DET swapped it, and used it as a drift car for almost 10 years), a 2008 Scion xD(show car), a 2011 Scion tC(first one sold in US, I turbocharged it, did internals, etc making it my highest HP build so far at 346 whp on a mustang Dyno).

My plans for the legacy, as my username implies, is to build it in the likeness of an STI. I have heard that NASIOC is the number one forum for WRX and STI owners, so I truly look forward to learning from all of you!

Thanks for taking the time to read my intro post.

Welcome aboard.

Which trim Legacy, and do I see a MT swap in its future?

I came to the WRX and NASIOC from a 2010 Legacy 2.5GT and LegacyGT dot com.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome!

Started work on the Legacy today. I painted the large silver trim pieces on the dashboard to flat black. They now blend in with the rest of the dash. I’m gonna pull the interior door panels sometime in the next week to get the silver pieces out and painted too.

Honestly, I’m underwhelmed... but nothing some mods can’t fix.
My real concern is the issues I have had with it within the first 30 days of ownership... first a bad radio, and diagnosed today, bad alternator... 1/3rd of its life with me has been at the dealership getting repaired... way out in the distance there I see a flag, I’m colorblind, but an educated guess would say the flag is red colored... lol

Dropped it off for the alternator yesterday, picked it up just now, only for it to break down on the highway... the belt is shredded in the bay... AAA is on the way...

Did you buy the car from Bubba's Automobiles & Sushi? I'm with ericsson. I hope you have deep pockets.

I actually got it from a very reputable Subaru dealership in my area... so far I haven’t paid anything extra, they have covered all of it. I’m still worried that this much has gone wrong so quickly though...
