Default Tail Lights Stuck On

Has anyone run into a problem where after you switch off the car and light turned off the tail light some how have remained on. I had to pull the fuse this afternoon so it doesn't run down my battery. Anyway I am pretty sure that all lights are off not sure if anyone has some advise.

Thanks
2004 Impreza.

Yup I just had a customer call me about that. As you sit in the seat if you see a red tab facing you, the parking lights are on. Press back down(towards you a little) on the button to turn them off.

8 calls for that last week

12 for water leaking from the right front tire.

Can you tell it was a full moon?

I even had two people argue with me about the ac evap drain trying to claim it never did that before!

You don't even know the half of it.

Right now I am running the service dept, service parts counter and our internet sales.

Normally it is service writing and internet sales only.

Too many people on vacation!

I get a lot of those calls as well... why won't my headlights turn off when I turn off the switch (DRL) or the parking lights. Why is my cruise flashing? blah blah. Makes an entertaining day at Subaru.

My store has faaaaaaaar too much business to run that much with just one person Parts alone takes 3 people or it gets overwhelmed... Service with just one advisor comes to a stand still with 30 minute waits just to get cars checked in in the morning...

But yes, I've had my share of parking lite panic too... Even have a couple think the parking light switch was hazards and had no clue how to turn hazards off when they were put on by accident

How many Subaru on average do you service daily?
Yesterday I wrote 31 and all but one were finished yesterday (with only 3 techs, not including the 4 overhanging jobs)

We usually run around 100 vehicles a day. Sometimes it's a little crazy.

I thought so, just double checking.

At least you guys are in Subaru country, we're stuck out here in Ford / GM / DCX land

When the big three bleed, we feel it

About 35-40, not including oil changes (about 10-15 oil changes a day)... We've had like 5-6 headgasket jobs in the shop at a time for the last couple weeks too.

We have 6 full time techs and two lube techs. 4 of our techs are master techs.

We are open Monday thru Saturday though, so we have basically two shifts which is why there need to be two service writers (one for mon-fri, the other tue-sat). On saturdays, we actually share the Subaru sevice department with Hyundai, they have one of their writers come over here and take in all the cars here but send the cars back to the hyundai building next door for work (we only have 3 subaru techs monday and saturdays). The reason for this is the Subaru and Hyundai departments are still technically combined here, since we share service managers (it used to be one building for both, but they built this new Subaru building two years and ago).

Right now i'm not even a service advisor, i'm just the booker but I back up the Subaru service advisors on vacation/when they call in sick, and next year when they build a new Hyundai building and a new lube service department i'm going to be the quicklube writer and basically in charge of setting that new department.

We handle anywhere from 15-30 cars a day. I am the only writer and I have 3 Master techs. We aren't a big dealership compared to the other Subaru dealerships.
