Post Tire size/rim width recomendations....

Hey I found this Yokohama site that recomends what tire size will fit on what rim width. Does anyone know if these same recomendations hold true for other tire companies besides Yokohama?

It's pretty true for about every tire size. Although tires do vry a little bit, the numbers are pretty close. I'd use the chart if I were you...

The chart looks like standard min-max with some exceptions that I'm sure Yokohama could explain if you emailed. (like a 205/45-16 only being recommended for 7" rim.)

For high performance tarmac use, you should use a rim at least 80% the width of the tire. At least 90% will be better. On lower profile tires narrower % rims become less tolerable.
