Big Macs outsell Wagu Beef Burgers too. Guess Big Mac is a better burger. I would prefer ANY of those other cars over the aesthetically challenged WRX. the GTI May be the best value out of all of them.

Sacrilege! Anyone grounding up Wagu should be shot.

A false equivalence was made by Simple6 that more sales means better product. Which is patently false. I was just trying to shine the cleansing light of knowledge upon him.

I noticed that no one has bothered to update this thread. I guess some only report the bad news. The WRX beat the year over year for October, November, December sales. At least on Autotrader, the new inventory has dropped by about 25%. With the dropping of the base model, price increase and Subaru seemingly passing on the EPA FE fines directly to the consumer, I would expect to see 2025 lower than 2024.

There were 3700 listed at the end of November, and 2900 listed today. Subaru's end of year Love event usually boosts sales along with Subaru being good for bad weather conditions, but they are also in the process of the model year change so probably fewer cars being produced right now.

I don't know about the inventory (as I never really looked and took note of it until this past summer) but isn't all the rest of those factors the same as last year?

I decided last year around the last week of December that I was going to buy a new car. I ordered my WRX at the end of last Jan. The discounts don't look any different at this time than last year. I have no idea what going on in October-through most of December.

There are some super cheap lease deals around me for WRX that are a little tempting. I'm really missing the stick shift, which is exacerbated by how FREAKING AWFUL this TourX's AT is.

But alas, I'm done with car payments, would never lease, and don't want to piss with winter tires.

Long live the manual hand brake

Subaru Crosstrek Crushes 2024 Sales Charts, But WRX And BRZ Crash Over 20%

Subaru Crosstrek overtook the Outback in 2024, becoming the brand’s best-selling model.

Forester’s 15.1% sales growth helped Subaru maintain strong momentum in the U.S. market.

Legacy sales dropped 23.2% in 2024, joining BRZ and Impreza in double-digit declines.

Executives at Subaru of America could be popping champagne bottles after the brand posted a 5.6% increase in sales for 2024. It also enjoyed a particularly strong December and has now recorded an impressive 29 consecutive months of increased sales in the country.

Last year, no less than 667,725 new Subarus were sold nationwide compared to the 632,086 last year. This comes even though five of Subaru’s nine models found fewer homes than before.

Subaru’s best-seller in 2024 was the Crosstrek, which sold 181,811 units, a notable 14.2% jump from the previous year, which allowed it to usurp the Outback, Subaru of America’s previous most popular model. Sales of the Forester also rose by a considerable 15.1%, with 175,521 examples sold. Although the Outback is now Subaru’s third-best-selling model, sales grew by 4.3% to 168,771.

The only other Subaru model that enjoyed a particularly strong 2024 was the Solterra, with sales rising by 40.3% to 12,447.

On the other end of the spectrum was the WRX. While the latest-generation model is a solid all-round performer, sales fell by 24.7% last year to 18,587 units. Interestingly, December 2024 was a strong month for the WRX, as sales increased by 30%.
Subaru USA Sales

Elsewhere, Subaru Legacy sales dropped 23.2% last year to 19,591 units. The BRZ (-20.1%), Ascent (-7%), and Impreza (-9.7%) also endured a tough calendar year.

“I’d love to thank everyone who played a role in making 2024 another strong year of sales growth,” senior vice president of sales at Subaru of America, Troy Poston said. “We are eager to continue delivering on our priority of producing quality vehicles for our customers as even more of them join the Subaru family, and our ever-expanding lineup of vehicles will be ready for the adventures that lie ahead in 2025.”

I don’t remember, the TourX is 100% or you have a 2nd with a 6MT?

My DD replacement is coming up as at 11 years I’m ready for more range or I’ve been pondering going to a GR86 for a DD since I’ve learned the PP is back and only $1500, which is an outstanding deal. I’m not seeing hardly any 86’s in stock, in my region in Premium, 6MT with the PP. They are pretty scarce actually.
