Default GT30R STi Blow-through MAF 435whp 93oct 475whp 116oct

Got tuned at TXS Saturday and was very happy with the results. Nathan decided to stop at 475whp @ 26psi for longetivity of the motor (or whatever is left of it ) They were able to make over 500 @ 33psi so I definately had a lot more to go! Pump numbers were at @ 22psi. I will be dynoing at a dynojet and mustang dyno soon to get comparative numbers. And yes, this car will be seeing the 1/4 mi & road course very soon!

Main mods:
STOCK EJ257
Perrin GT30R .82 A/R
Topspeed Blow-through MAF (3.5" piping)
Gruppe-S jet hot coated header
Borla hush
MRT fmic
Tial 50mm BOV 9psi spring (I think I need the 11psi one though)
PE850s w/ walboro fuel pump
UTEC on top of ECUTEC
Apex-i AVC-R
RPS 6-puck sprung

b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l.....

the .82 gt30r is the ultimate turbo imho

and the fact that the car made 500whp on c-16 just makes me love it even more, smart ro detune for longetivity, but its nice to know there is still plenty left in that beast

Isn't the GT30R the BEST turbo for high HP and good spool? I try to tell this to everybody, but it seems like some people don't believe that it's that good.
I would love to see some pics of your setup. Good to hear another high HP STI with stock block, hopefully it lasts for quite a while, especially at those HP numbers, that would be great. Congratulations and i hope you go to the drag strip soon, i would love to see what your car is capable of since i have a very similar setup. PICS!!

This car was fun to drive and tune.

The maf is ignored for all but idle.

Yep, I said ignored.

Back to your regularly scheduled proven power thread…

Nice job, Nathan! You and I spoke not long ago about my custom 3.5" MAF, which you pointed me in the direction of going CL (piggyback mode) UTEC. It works great but I completely rescaled my enitre MAF table. My goal was to only use the UTEC for incremental changes or for different fuel maps. You guys must have really had to add a TON of fuel into his maps to make it work if the MAF table wasn't touched much.

Either way, 475whp is pretty much maxxed for the GT30R

Not quite the same thing; we are, as I said, ignoring the maf voltage completely. There are no modifications made to the signal once the car is above idle. The injector pulse width calculation does not reference maf voltage at any point. The stock ECU may as well be hog-tied and gagged in the trunk.

Could you please PM me with some 'ballpark idea' as to what you're doing?

Thanks,

Todd

Well the only other way to fuel a car is speed-density. The 350Z UTEC already has speed density. Perhaps he got some beta firmware? Spill it Nathan!
