Default PIAA Super Plasma fog lights

has anyone had experience with these. I just ordered a set. I just want a little more light. How much brighter are they than stock? For the record, I'm using Silvania Silver Star headlights. Not much of an improvment over stock with those.

I have the PIAA xtreme healights and the PIAA ion crystal fogs.
I have to say for spending 50 bucks on the set I'm very impressed with them.

I used to have a 00 honda civic si with true HID conversion to compare them to. The PIAA come close to the brightness on the HID's in the headlights. The ION crystal fogs give off a yellow color they are cool. With the slight blue tint of the headlights to the yellow color of the fogs. Looks like an IS300 coming down the road..

I bought my brother a pair
I don't know how much brighter it was but it looked cool
It was purpleish but that crap burnt out in less then a year I believe and my brother didn't even use or turn on the fogs that often

Shortley his PiAA'S in the headlight burnt out too!

No more PIAA'S!
Expensive and not reliable

Thumbs down PIAA

I have to chime in here, I replaced my stock HL bulbs with PIAA Extreme Whites. And in the year and a half that I've used PIAA's one or both have burned out twice.

Most recently, yesterday! Both low beams were fine on Friday and out yesterday. They are an improvement over stock for sure, and the "Lifetime Warranty" they come with is great, especially considering that they cost $80. But to have to worry about them burning out every 6 months is not giving me peace of mind.

I haven't used any of their other lighting products, so can't comment, but if you don't mind replacing HL twice a year then they are great.

I hate going to the place where I bought them and saying guess what they're out again!

anyone else have this sort of problem with PIAA's?

Peace,
Oquipah

I would defenitely not buy PIAA because of cost and I heard they are not that good. They are not very bright either. If you want just brightness get some Sylvania extravision.

Well, the PIAA's suck. I put them in last Friday and aside from changing the color to a white with the slightest blue tint, they did nothing. I then started to think about this. A yellow light will reflect yellow on the ground and everything in front of you. Well, when you have a white light, it doesn't reflect back any color for you to see unless it is really bright. That is why you see so well with HID. "High Intensity."

Anyway, I have another question for you guys now. Has anyone had any experince with any of the HID kits available? The ones where the headlights look stock. I don't want to change the whole headlight unit. I don't like the way it looks. I don't like the projector head lamps. I read somewhere that Catz is comming out with a kit with a replacement bulb and a power transformer to power the unit. Any thoughts?
