![]() I might have missed it, but what driver seat are you running in there currently and how do you like it?

![]() Beautiful VA! Color is amazing. This thread might be the very reason I trade my 2011 DGM STi for a 19 or 20 LBP. I bought it new and over the years ended up FBO flexfuel, Coilovers, modded as far as I can go without a built motor and turbo. Never really considered getting out of it until recently. Got trade in value for my 11 as well as quote to put back to stock and swap parts to new STi!
Sorry if I missed this but how did you get away with not rolling fenders? My 11 on kwv3s factory settings with 57extreme 18x9.5 +40 needed a rear roll with 265/35/18 RE11s and had to roll the front when I went with Pilot SS which run a little wide. |

My rears are indeed rolled. Fronts are left alone. A lot as to do with alignment specs as well. The PSS's run very bubbly. It always looks a size bigger than it is 255 look like 265, 265 look like 275, etc. My tires (michelin AS3's) run very true to their size. If I ever swap to a dedicated summer wheel/tire setup, I would most likely go with a 255 since they run wider and have a stiffer sidewall. |

I’m looking at some 2020 STis potentially. Im gonna have to figure out what to do with the 19 inch wheels. Can’t imagine buying winter tires for them and I’m not sure I want to get into the aftermarket 19 inch wheel game lol. Much more $$ for wheels and tires. |

What spacers are you running and assuming the wheels fit without the spacers...+35 is an already pretty aggressive offset, what camber would you need to run in order to not rub if you didn’t use spacers? On My gr/gvb, the 18x9.5 + 40 57 extremes fit on KWV3s with rolled rears only and 265 Re11s fit nicely...No control arms or camber adjustment. Is the GR able to handle wider wheels/ lower offset than the VA? Appreciate any info. |

Same camber would need to be ran. Maybe a tad less, but not much. It depends on your ride height and tires choice as well. Yes, they will fit, but your camber will be way out of spec and uneven. No the gr and va handle run the same specs in terms of offset and specs needs. |

![]() Howdy everyone!
I feel like anytime I do a 'catch up' post on here, I am apologizing for not updating the journal haha. As you know, I have moved to video format for my reviews/installs via youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjg...IVSZDEhzRVHpvw). If you would like to stay up to date on my build, be sure to check it out. I post 3 days a week (sometimes more)! I am also very active on my Instagram as well (@chrisvuono). The STI has become a garage queen now and only gets driven on nicer/warm days. I now drive a 2018 Outback as a daily since purchasing a 2021 Kia Telluride to handle the growing needs of our family. Some recent new updates to the car - Wedssport TC105c 18x10 +35 - Michelin PS4s 265/35/18 - Project Kics Gold Hub Centric Rings - IAG AOS V3 - Black (not installed yet) - Raceseng Stratose Alcantara Shift Knob - Full paint correction and ceramic coating of Gtechniq CSL/EXOv4 Future plans - Stage 3 - Carbon Hood - Carbon Lip Kit - Another fun project car Stay tuned to the channel next week as I have a big update to my garage coming. It should really clean the place up! :Insert Photo Dump Here: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by ScoobyFreak86; 01-22-2021 at 11:22 AM. |

The only reason I still do continue to update on here once in a while is purely for my own enjoyment and documentation. It is cool to see some of the OG's pop in to comment and say hello. Either way, I don't forget about this place. I come back to check up on certain people's cars and journals. |

![]() Love the new wheels and tires. Really nice choice Chris! Excited for your future plans. Stage 3 is in my opinion the best way to enjoy the car without breaking the bank or changing the required maintenance. I too am considering making the switch to a full carbon lip kit. Can’t wait to see the car in person when the weather warms up.

![]() I agree. Forums are dead. Joined when I got my first STi in 07 and this and the other STi forum were very active. So much great info and I learned a tremendous amount about these cars but seems that’s been replaced by pictures, comments and vids.

![]() Beautiful work on this STi man! This car is the reason I will probably end up with my 3rd new STi and it will highly likely be Lapis Blue. All the small mods make a big difference. I had an 07 and 11 I bought new. Just sold my 11 this week and I'm looking at a bunch of other cars, GT350, M2, M3, M4, used GTR(not likely), but I keep coming back to the AWD turbo, manual. Not many of those left. Cheap to mod, reliable, practical. Will continue to follow your build.
Did you sell your enkeis? |

![]() Love how your build is coming along. Can't wait to get your thoughts on Stage 3! Since you DD an Outback now I bet your STI feels like a rocket when you drive it. I drove my wife's 2018 OB for two weeks straight and as so happy to be back in my 2019 STI, especially when I had to pass snails on two lane roads.
Your new wheels look great, although I thought your Enkei's looked good too! |

![]() It's a shame that NASIOC and other forums are dying if not dead already, I'd take them over social media any day and the wealth of knowledge that'll eventually be lost is sad.
I appreciate your updates here, and I try to pop in on your Insta posts! |

I've got new wheel too. Going with 57Transcent Rev Limit Edition 18x9.5 ET38 with the same tire as you in 265 35 18...Can't wait for spring to get here! |

![]() Thank you! I go out into the garage often just to take a peak at them. They are beautiful.

Absoltuely! Getting all my ducks lined in a row and deciding on all the parts. Lots to consider, but I feel my list is going to make alot of sense. Not cutting corners. I'll switch to full carbon someday. Definitely content with my current eBay kit, but in due time, it'll be upgraded to something worthwhile. For sure! It should be a lot of fun to catch up and make a video on yours. I think a lot of people will be interested in seeing, what I think, is the cleanest and well put together GR Hatch STI's out there. I currently still have the Enkei's at the moment. Quote:
Honestly, I have yet to take the STI out for a drive since the outback took over as DD. The weather has been crap and I just did a 2 week long detail on the car, so I never got a chance to take it out. I have moved it a few times in the driveway and instantly surprised how heavy the steering is and how solid the whole car feels. It's going to feel incredible when I take it out finally. Looking forward to doing that asap! The Enkei's are a fantastic wheel. Dare I say one of the best looking on the VA chassis. But honestly... EVERYONE picked up a set now. They are becoming very popular. Not that it's a bad thing, but it definitely loses its special appeal. I am not one to try to stand out from the crowd really, but it got a bit too repetitive. On top of having them on for 3 years, it was time for a change. Quote:
Quote:
![]() Absolutely! I actually wanted to do one in the Spring of 2020, but had to postpone due to the events. I definitely would like to do one at some point once things calm down and we can plan appropriately. I think it would be a lot of fun putting some faces to names and go out and enjoy our cars together. |
