Tail lights/ DRL problem
I just did a long road trip from el paso to illinois. I found out thanks to a cop that my tailights aren't working. Heres what I know:
What I don't have: DRL's Third brake light that's inside the car in the back window Tailights (the red ones that come on when you turn you headlights on) What I do have: The brake lights that are in the housings by the trunk lid The third brake light in the spoiler Head lights Fog lights Turn signals Reverse lights Checked all fuses, I noticed my head lights would flicker slightly every now and then too. Any ideas?

This might be a silly question, but are you sure your DRL's are actually not working? I was trying to take a look at mine (wanted to see how my yellow bulbs look ) and I realized it's literally impossible to see them without someone helping you unless you park in front of a reflective surface, as they're only on while in drive and the parking/e-brake turns them off so you can't get out to look.
Also, it sounds like you drive the sedan, which doesn't look like it has LED bulbs in the rear. Is it possible that they all just died? Alternatively it would also make more sense if your DRL's worked as that would indicate a problem with the wiring harness towards the rear. |
