Question Anyone know much about the jdm AVCS?

What difference is there in the intake manifold runner length?
Is the valve train (ie head) the same on international models
as the JDM? Can we convert using jdm spec ECU and/ov
valve train?

Looking for any info people have. I know the TGV is under
our runners and could be removed but I'm still waiting on
a cd with the fiches from japan.

If you feel the need to keep this private, send me email
not a PM, as I seem to be losing PMs with the new board
software for some reason.

IIRC the USDM gets the same sodium filled valvetrain as the JDM WRX and STi.

I sincerely doubt that the US WRX gets the sodium filled exhaust valves.. My understanding is that those were standard only on STi RA engines, they were an option for other STi's.
Why would SOA see fit to give us that particular tidbit over numerous others..?

Well AVCS I believe stands for Active Valve Timing Control System. It has nothing to do with manifold length. It is a variable valve timing system on the intake cams that comes on the GDB (Sti) model. I too also doubt we get sodium filled valves on US models. I thought that was STi only.
