Default go to 6 puck or stay disc?

so i need some advice on what clutch to go with on my car

i currently have been running a exedy stg1 clutch meant for a 2.5rs that is now slipping so bad i cant even attempt to lay into boost at all......so time has come to change it
ive decided to go with act this time around and i am left with an option here....organic disc for $450 or 6-puck for $475....i know the 6-puck is rated to handle an extra 100ft/lb which is something id like for sure, but ive never driven a puck style clutch before and i spend a decent ammount of time commuting in traffic and around town since this is my DD....so what do you guys think? is the 6puck something to go with? or is it truely not streetable like ive heard some people say?

for reference i had a clutchmasters stg3 disc clutch in my old se-r that i really liked since i could beat on it all day long and it took it like a champ, kinda what id like to have with the lgt

six puck for a DD is possible, but all clutch engagements will be damn near instant i have drove a couple, the clutch works but i could not imagine stop and go traffic with one

My RPS 6-puck is not bad at all in my daily driver. I actually have a harder time shifting smoothly than taking off smoothly. It can be driven smoothly off the line but it needs to be slipped a little more than I feel comfortable with, so I tend to be a little rough with it.

Unless you need a 6-puck, I'd go with a full-face disc... it will last longer.

Transmission forum much?

anyway, I say stick with a full face since it will hold whatever torque you need it to and you're not pushing buttloads of power.

i say, full face....it makes moving off a hell lot quicker than a 6 puck...unless you choose to launch everytime at the lights.

Ive heard arguments for both.

Ive currently got the ACT Street Disc Setup... heavy duty pressure plate throw out bearing street disc...

This cutch is awesome - im entirely satisfied with this setup. I commute about 130 miles a day and it never gets old - easy in traffic as well. Additionally, I do enjoy some speedy runs.... a few launches.... everything holds real well.

Really up to the style of driving you do most.... But the scarrier aspect about a puck disk is the extra stress it puts on your tranny IMO.
