Default Racecomp Engineering

Last October after a lengthy wait on order, I finally took delivery of my 2018 STi limited. Amazing vehicle!

Naturally, during the wait I planned out a mod path which included suspension. During my research I found a local (central Maryland) shop that designed components that fit the bill perfectly, and I ended up getting in touch with Myles at Racecomp Engineering. Super nice guy with a lot of experience in the biz.

Had a great experience, and long story short, ended up with their GTWORX/Bilstein Cup Sport kit (strut/shock) and their Black “regular guy” springs.

Install was a breeze, thanks to the addition of factory brake line and ABS sensor wire mounts, and after an alignment I was ready to shred.

This shock/spring combo is the absolute ideal setup for my 100 mile-per-day STi. It’s stiff enough to significantly enhance road-hugability, yet still plush enough to soak up the typical Maryland road bumps without complaints from my wife and son. Also, the already-low STi looks extra sweet with the 10mm drop.

If you get a chance hit up Myles at Racecomp, I highly recommend this setup!

I have been talking to Myles for some time now. I had a 15 Wrx that I installed the yellow RCE springs and HOLY SHTT did that car handle!!! I also set the alignment specs according to RCE numbers. I highly recommend RCE to anyone that wants to improve their handling. I know there are cheaper springs out there but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Another one with a good experience with Myles. Helped me out with my 15 WRX and, helping me out with my 18 STI. Always a good experience.

Miles and Lawrence are willing to talk it out for what is best for each individual. when I was gonna drop some serious cash on a BBK, springs/shocks or coils and steering and suspension questions they took the time to thoroughly explain each scenario and what would best fit my needs. Other places I have called are way to quick to get you off the phone, shut you up and get the next sale. This requires an attention to the customer, great listening skills, patience and a willingness to help (which means they are passionate about what they do and care to help others).. they ended up talking me out of a much more expensive setup because they realized I would not be happy with buying a coil-over set and BBK that didn't fit my driving habits and "reality"... I'm not a Race driver and my car is also used for DD. 2 1/2 years later that setup is still rocking hard and I love it. GTWorks Bilsteins on RCE springs with AP Racing BBK with 24mm rear sway and kept front stock (only swapped bushings).
