Default Car audio shops in OC?

Hey guys!

I'm looking for a shop (or car audio guru who's willing to lend me some of their time - paid, of course) to install a small amp in my 2017 WRX. I'm looking at the Alpine Power Pack KTP-445U; it's relatively cheap and from what I've heard from a lot of other VA owners, it's a quick and inexpensive way to improve the sound quality without replacing the entire headunit or getting a sub.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good shop, preferably in the OC area and open on weekends if possible? What's the ballpark of what I would be paying for labor costs for something like this?

Thanks all!

Is your vehichle factory amplified? I dont know much about the newer subarus.

I work at a car audio shop but a little north of OC. This is a good option and im not bashing on it at all but, why do this rather than run a 4 channel and a set of good components in front and coaxials in rear?

The other way is a little bit more money but is going to sound better and youll be happier if you went this way and kept the car for a while.

If you want to get this unit installed though its not difficult at all for wiring. Im trying to find a diagram to send you. Dont over pay for this install, alot of shops will try to rape you on price and try to make it sound more difficult than it is. If I find the diagram Ill let you know buddy and hopefully itll save you a few bucks.

I don't believe it is amped from the factory. Only the cars with the optional Harmon Kardon speaker packages were, which I do not have.

To be honest, my main reason for leaning towards this is just the price, but I may have to do some more research into your recommendation if you think it's really worth it. I want to do as much as I can to improve the amount of (clean) bass that I can get without installing an actual sub, as I don't want to deal with the added weight or wiring for that.

Makes sense. Yeah, I mean this route is definitely do-able and will sound better than what you have now because you are adding more power to your speakers. If you want feel free to txt me and Ill tell you about some options if you'd like. PM and ill shoot you my number. I know some ppl that can install it for you too but it'd be in like San Fernando valley.

that amp wont do that much. it would be more of a waste of time and money. for more pop out to the system you need way more parts.

what really is your goal?

It should be enough IMHO. I bought the Subaru Kicker speakers for our Fozzy and it's a big sq improvement. Just needs a bit more oomph for volume and something like this fits the bill. 40w rms is a decent improvement over 10-15 from the factory HU.
