Default Cobb AP V3 Disconnecting- OBD2 - Pins ?

Hi everyone,

I have been having issues with my V3 AP, sometimes it will turn off while driving the car and re-connect. Lately, however, it has been disconnecting and not connecting back. If I fumble around with the OBD2 connector and plug it in and out a bunch of times, it will sometimes get power again.

It feels as like the iphone cable, where your phone 'stops charging'. I was looking at the pins on the cobb obd2 part, and noticed that two of the pins in the middle stick out about 1/8th of an inch more.

Is this normal?

I looked at the OBD2 port of the car and everything looked fine, and would hope the issue is on the cobb and no the car.... Anyone have experience with this?

More interested on if those 2 pins sticking up are supposed to be this way??

I have a brand new AP3-SUB-004. I have auto on/off turned on. Only had it a few days. Just today with car on it said it was shutting down because it detected the car was off. Huh?

Hope it was just a glitch.

Hmm that seems like another issue. Mine is actually hard disconnecting like the screen goes black.

Thought someone else would have replied.

Hey OP can you post up pictures?

If the pin is sticking out then it's possible the cable is damaged.

Do you have any pictures of the pins or the bottom of the connector?
