Default 2005 Impreza exhaust manifold assembly question

So, I own a 2006 Impreza N/A 2.5i.

I currently have installed a TurboXS catback exhaust made for a WRX. I had to add on an extension to the exhaust so that it could reach the stock headers as the exhaust is made for a WRX with UEL headers that reach back further.

Now that I have this extension in place, can I take a 2005 Impreza WRX's UEL headers, cat converter and O2 sensors and have it be a direct bolt up?

Will I throw any CELs? Lastly, will it make getting to the oil filter underneath easier? Right now, it is a PIA.

Thanks in advance to those who answer.

no, it won't bolt up. Part of connecting those 'dots' is the turbine housing.

Ah, maybe it wasn't the WRX headers I am thinking of then. Maybe it is the 2005 RS manifold back exhaust assembly w/ UEL headers I'm thinking of?

That bolts up right? I think I remember seeing somewhere that those DO fit, but the 2005RS cat conrter flange won't reach the flange for the catback unless you extend it.

edit: something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-ST...-/170803326280 and then I'd buy the 2005RS cat converter assembly, and then I'd be good to go right? (After getting the O2 sensor extension and 2005RS O2 sensors...I do need those right?)

Or better yet, something like this?
http://www.semotors.com/tsudo-1997-0...-cat-downpipe/

That's everything I need if I recall to get things working.

Because I have the wrx TurboXS catback exhaust with an extender on the end to reach my cat converter, applying the entire item in the link above, would be a very close, if not perfect fit, yes?

bump. Please see my last post. The WRX catback does not reach as close to the engine obviously as with WRX's the downpipe goes backfurther, so an extender was placed to reach it, which obviously can be removed.

As per my last post on this, if that extender was removed, would that UEL header and catted downpipe combo fit as bolt-on to my car with the TurboXS catback?

Assuming I'd need an O2 sensor extension cable as well.

I doubt you'll find someone that has tried that exact setup so I'd try contacting both vendors for their input.

With that said I doubt it will. The turbo XS exhaust pieces did not play well with other systems you had to use all of their components since they were different lengths and angles on the flanges.

If you really want to run a header get one and have a exhaust shop do what's needed to make it work with your cat back. It would probably only cost 100-200ish and you'd know it would fit perfect.

Hmm...so you're saying if I bought TurboXS uel headers for a 2005 impreza 2.5RS, they'd bolt up perfect to my 2006 2.5i with TurboXS catback?

Obviously I'd need a TurboXS downpipe too though I'd imagine

No. Im saying to buy what you want and have it custom fab to fit....I dont think they make any parts for your car.

What i was saying was, back in the day the exhaust they made for WRX was NOT compatible to any other manufactures downpipe, mid/test pipe, or cat-backs. You had to use all their parts

Ah okay, my fault for misunderstanding.

I'll have to look into this.
