Wow- looks like we'll be on par for 40+ drivers. Good to see some new names on registration.

Mark- if you still have that megaphone it'll probably be necessary.

Do we know what surface we'll be on?

If so, can anyone give some insight in terrain? Ruts, etc. I'm trying to settle on ride height. I'm 1" over stock ride height (looks like its jacked up). I'm on BC coilovers (8/6) and I didn't have a chance to get a set of 4/3 springs. I'm going to get the **** beat out of me if we're on rough stuff...

This is my first attempt EVER, so I'll be going easier anyhow. Next even, I'll have my suspension corrected.

Also, I have a set of coilovers that I had custom made that I'm bringing for sale. They are 57mm body, Inverted strut design. All aluminum so pretty light weight. I'm asking $1500 for them.

Looking like we're running the big track. Hard pack dirt, some grass, a little gravel, some mud. And more mud when the water truck comes out...

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

So should my +1" over stock ride height be ok, or do you think I could get away with stock height?

Mud.

I manage to drive an RX-7 at stock ride height and anybody that has been there will tell you I do not drive it gentle.

Oh! I have a set of RallyArmor basic mudflaps that anyone can have (98-01 Impreza)...I think I have MOST of the hardware. They're free, so deal with missing stuff! Tell me you want em, and I'll be sure to meet up with you before the event starts...

Dibs! I want them for my impreza to put them when I start rallycrossing it again after Im done with the RX7

BTW, to answer your question. Stock height is fine. +1" is good too, but do not go higher than that. I even believe is a little too high. But it depends on how strong your springs/shocks are.

I ran last year with stock springs and stock blown shocks and I did alright. I would only recommend you to buy or make a skid plate.

Your ride height is just fine. If I were you, I'd be concerned about crunching a couple of vertebra with 8/6k springs

I know...

I've driven on some bumpy roads to feel it out, and it wasn't overly hateful.

@nkx the ones for the RS. Of course this is moot if Adam doesn't get the clutch back in. I'm also sending an A/C line so you don't have to smell so bad.

@irish I have all kinds of E30 parts. From those for the efficiency series motors, to a 3spd auto for that 318i, to fun iX bits. I also have a few spare M30s (one with the turbo setup) that could be made to fit. And then there's the M21 diesel... I've got crank door tracks too (adds lightness).

Paddock open at 7 a.m. and registration closes at 8:30 a.m.

Once you go in the main gate at Summit Point, take your first left on
a paved road (before the Main track). Follow that back to a stop sign
and go straight (if you turn right you'll go up and over a bridge into
the Main paddock - don't go this way).

The road turns to gravel. Follow it for about
3/10ths of a mile and it curves to the right around the Main track.
There is an opening in the trees to your left, go through that and
then make an immediate left. You'll see our paddock.
